A pleasant surprise from Coquette

This bustier from Coquette is a great inexpensive way to add a beautiful piece of lingerie to the bedroom. It comes in two colors and a variety of sizes to meet your needs.

extremely useful review
I noticed for a while that this Coquette corset was on sale. I am a big fan of any bustier that has underwire so I decided to try my luck, despite the stock photos showing the corset a bit of an awkward look to the bust area. I bought the red in 1X.

The stock photo made the cups look like they stood out from the rest of the bustier quite strongly, but this isn't really the case with the red one, at least. The corset is 57% cotton and 43% acetate. The corset has a bit of a lacy trim across the bottom and on the bust. It is a little awkward to keep it even on the bust. If you're concerned about it looking perfect 100% of the time you're wearing it, this might annoy you.

This is what the back looked like before I loosened the ties.

The front is covered in a gorgeous red brocade fabric and closes with six metal busk closures like some other corsets on EF. They have a tendency to come undone while you're trying to snap them into place, but other than that I have no complaints.

The back is made up of three panels, which are laced together by two lacing sections. I couldn't get this to close up without loosening the back. Similar to a waist cincher I have from Coquette, the laces on the back are REALLY long ribbon. I might swap them out for some polyester cord because the ribbon is flimsy and in the way.

This corset has underwire in it, but it's not very sturdy. It does offer more support than a lingerie piece without any wire, which is great. I would love if this had straps, as the bust support is lacking without them. I have a D cup and just barely fit in the cups of this bustier. It probably would work best for a B or C cup chest. It has plastic boning in the mid-section which does offer a little bit of support to the piece, but it's not going to give you an 18th century waistline.
