Glitter thigh high stockings - hosiery by Fantasy Lingerie - review by teachmetouchme

I love these stockings!! Having said that, lets get the business end of this out of the way. They come wrapped on a small card in a protective plastic bag. There is an insert that says, "DESIRE hosiery" in the middle and in the lower left corner it says, "glitter fishnet thigh highs". In the lower middle of the card there is a pair of legs modeling the stockings. They are a 90% nylon/10% lycra blend and are available in black and one size fits most (which usually means fits some). The toe is fishnet, not solid, so care must be taken not to poke your toes through the fishnet. We all know what that feels like. The back card has simple washing instructions, which I am sure you are familiar with: hand wash in gentle soap, no chlorine, lay flat to dry and no ironing (I think they may melt). I have put them in a lingerie bag and washed them with a dark load, but have never machine dried them.

How do they fit you ask? Great!! I am 5'3" tall and weigh in at 147 lbs. At 6" above my knee cap my thighs measure 22".are If I hold the stockings in my hands, I can stretch them to 36", but at that point the woman would have to have 12" thighs--unlike a bra band measurement or a waist measurement, the measurement of stockings are pretty useless: as the legnth goes up, the width at the top gets smaller. I am sure there is an algebraic equation for that, but all I can say is that there is an inverse relationship going on.

After wearing them for several hours there was no bunching at the knees or instep, and the band at the top was in place--no falling, digging in or rolling. I could have stretched them to go higher but to me that length looked about right. Because there was some stretch left, taller women, or women with larger thighs, would not have a problem with fit. Fit is an unpredictable equation because the higher you stretch them, the thinner the thighs must be. I can tell you that there was plenty of stretch left. If I pulled them higher, it was still comfortable but the open weave of the fishnet also became slightly larger and I liked the look of petite diamonds. I am sort of a perfectionist (but not very good at it) and I spent several minutes adjusting until I was happy with the fishnet pattern. If you didn't grow up with an anal Mom, you should be fine!! Mom used a ruler to cut cakes and brownies, so what does that say? There is a 2" strong elastic band (not glittery) at the top of the stockings and they stayed in place for the time I wore them. The longest time I wore them was 6 hours. I was active at a wedding with plenty of dancing, sitting, standing and walking around. There may have been a few glasses of wine involved.

Unlike many women, I do not have sensitive skin--these did not itch or scratch me. Both on and off my legs they have a soft, although "bumpy" feel. The "bumpiness" is built in to the fishnet texture. They are comfortable and barely leave a mark when you take them off.

The nylon/lycra combo blends well to make a strong, yet stretchy, string that is woven into a small fishnet pattern. The glitter is part of the fishnet--it is not added on later. This produces an iridescent effect that sparkles quietly rather than shouts to the world, "...look at me!!! I sparkle...". It is so elegant and classy that women of all ages and attitudes will feel comfortable wearing these.

The sex appeal is universal. I have worn them in the bedroom with a bra and panties or a black teddy and I have worn these for a night on the town with my little black dress and heels. If my boyfriend hadn't said it, I would--I was a knock out!! With my dress, you could not see the stocking top and I am not daring enough that I would want to show that much when out on the town. The nice thing about that is when you do wear them under a dress, when the dress comes off they are a welcome surprise.

I just love wearing these stockings!! I feel sexy wearing them out and all I can think about is getting home and showing them off to my boyfriend. I feel that all men are looking at my legs (in a good way) and that is the effect I want. I am placing an order for 2 more pairs of these stockings. I know that eventually 1 stocking will pop a hole or stretch too much. Nothng lasts forever. I do not want to encounter that situation where I know exactly what I'm wearing to go out and when (at the last minute and I am running late) I go to put on these sexy stockings I notice a hole in the fishnet. I'd have to quickly come up with a plan B and maybe a plan C. With "extra" stockings on hand, that all too familiar nightmare won't ever happen to me.

I'm still wearing these beautifu thigh highs and my husband is still enjoying them also!! Which ever way you look at it, it's a win-win situation!
