Tutu - skirt discontinued by Coquette - review by freud13

This black tulle tutu from Coquette came packaged in a plastic bag with a hanger. The back of the bag has snaps that open so you can pull the tutu out without having to tear or cut the packaging. This works great for storage since this is an item I will only be wearing a few times a year. I can keep the tutu in the packaging and throw it in the top of my closet and do not have to worry about keeping dog hair off of it.





The sizing for this piece is a one size fits all. According to Coquette's size chart, their one size fits all will fit a size 4-14. I am a size 18-20 and this fit me just fine. It has a lovely elastic waist band that stretches to fit a variety of sizes. I would say no larger than a 20 could fit it though, because it was a little snug getting it over my hips. The tulle is about 12 inches long and tends to stick straight out from your body. It would not be appropriate to wear outside of the house without tights or something covering your crotch. On me it hit right below my rear end, but when you walk it tends to bounce to expose part of you rear end and crotch area. This tutu is poofy and layered, but you can still see your underwear through it.




The above photo is a close up of the tulle. The tulle is sewn around the elastic waist band so this piece will hold up to some wear and tear. I will be hand washing it and air drying it as I do not trust it to the washer and dryer.




This is not something that I would wear into the bedroom. It's not something that would strike my fancy or my partner's fancy, but others may like it for that purpose. I am a hula hooper and go to different events so I wore this with fishnets and ruffled underwear. It was very comfortable and hit low enough on my hips that it did not effect my hooping. I got great comments on it when I wore it to my hoop yoga class earlier today and will certainly be wearing this again for events. I also like to wear it around the house because it's adorable and puts me in a good mood. I highly recommend this purchase as it is worth the money.

I still love this product and use it frequently when I am hula hooping. It will be going with me to several hooping festivals this fall!
