Bondage and Honeycombs?

My husband loves this chemise. This of course means that I have a few issues with it. The breast cups come to a funny point which just makes me giggle when I see it. The side honeycomb brings a bit too much attention to my hips, though it does look better than many hip-attracting pieces. The deal breaker for me is the scratchy material. Since my husband is so in love with it and I do agree it looks pretty sexy, it will probably get a decent amount of use.

The Fetish Honeycomb Chemise by Escante is a different looking chemise. It takes the idea of a fishnet but changes it up a little into a honeycomb pattern. It puts that against a wetlook material to give the sort of "bondage" appearance of this chemise. It's an all inclusive set with the chemise, G string, and stockings. I thought this would be a good outfit for BDSM evenings.

PACKAGING

The chemise arrives on a hanger in plastic wrap. The hanger isn't padded, but could be used to keep the chemise from damage in a drawer.

SIZING

I got this in a medium. For a medium, I should wear a size 6-10 dress. My waist should be between 28"-30" and hips should be between 32"-34". My cup size should be between a B-C. My personal measurements are are 28" at the waist and 39" at the hip. My breasts are 34DD/36D. I wear a size 6 pant with a few sizes 4 and 8 depending on the designer. You can get this in sizes S, M, and L.

The length from the tip of the bust to the bottom is 24". Under the bust is 12". The waist is 10.5". The bottom is 17.5". Under the cup is 6". The cup is about 5.25" long. The straps are adjustable but not by a lot. There is no underwire in the cup. The thong is 13" wide and 7" long. The thong has a 2.75" long lining.

This fit me well. It wasn't too tight anywhere but in the hip area where I was out of the size range according to the size chart. It actually wasn't too tight in the bust even though it says it should only go to a C cup. Even the thong fit which is a rare occurrence. Most included thongs are too small for me due to my wide hips. There was a lot of room where this could easily fit cup sizes larger than mine. There was some extra room in the waist where this seems like it would fit up to the recommended 30". If you don't want it to be tight, I would recommend going up a size.

MATERIAL

The honeycomb is made of 94% nylon and 6% elastane. The wetlook material is made of 100% polyester coated polyurethane. All of the material has stretch to it. The honeycomb has the most stretch. The wetlook material has some stretch, but it is very little. The honeycomb takes up the sides and all of the back so the stretchy material makes up most of the piece.

The honeycomb material is soft. It's not at all like a fishnet stocking. Well, perhaps if you found a really soft or plush fishnet stocking, but I don't run across all that many of those. The honeycombs are very thin. Each comb is about 3/8" wide. This part of the piece is comfortable against the skin. It does not dig into the skin like some fishnet can do. It lays nicely and doesn't cause skin to poke out of it.

The wetlook material is shiny on the front and matte in the back where the material touches the skin. The front feels slick to the touch. The back feels scratchy. This presents a problem. This problem is that the inner material is very itchy. I'm pretty touch sensitive to such things and the inside material was very irritating to my skin. This material is done in a panel down the stomach and for the cups of the breasts. The G string is also in this material

DESIGN

The design of the chemise is pretty unique and very sexy. The honeycomb pattern gives it a different look while having the same sex appeal of a fishnet. The back is done in a criss cross pattern which you can see in the photos above where the pieces is laying flat.

The cupping of the chemise is done in wetlook material. The only issue I ran into was that where the cups came in it created a point. Like that signature Madonna type point at the nipple area. I've never been a big fan of the pointy nipple look.

The middle of the chemise splits into the wetlook and the honeycomb. The middle area is wetlook and the sides are honeycomb. The middle panel of wetlook works to slim down the waistline - always a good thing. The downside to having the see through areas on the hips is that if your hips aren't your strong point (and mine aren't), it will draw attention to that area.

The bottom finishes with a wetlook ruffle. This is a nice way to add something cute in to an otherwise serious piece.

Experience
CONTINUED...

The back is all done in the honeycomb minus the bottom ruffle which is the wetlook material.

The chemise has attached garters. They cannot be removed from the piece. They are made of plastic, not metal.

The stockings are very sheer. They will likely run easily so extra care should be taken when putting them on and taking them off. They cause a bit of a muffin top, at least on me.

QUALITY

Since I've started reviewing lingerie and paying attention to seaming, it has become a peeve of mine when seams don't line up properly. That is the case with this piece. In most places where the seams come together, they don't exactly come together. One seam goes past another rather than meeting at the same point.

While the seaming is annoying, I have yet to find a fray on the piece. The stockings don't have any runs in them, though a few of the threads do seem to be darker than others.

CARE

This should be hand washed in cold water. It should be line dried. It should not be placed in the drier. It should not be ironed or bleached.

EXPERIENCE

I'm kinda eh on this. I think it looks sexy, but not amazing. It draws attention to my hips, something I never really want to do. My hips are on the wider side and have a wave thing going on that I hate. Anything that puts focus on that area is automatically not going to be a favorite of mine. For something that draws attention to that area though, it does look pretty nice.

I have some serious issues with this. The first issue is the pointy boob. I just think that looks silly. Every time I catch a glance of my boobs in these I laugh a little. Not only does the point look funny, but it actually seems to make my boobs look small. That's no small task to make D/DD breasts look smaller.

My biggest issue is the itch factor. I'm very sensitive to scratchy materials. This one isn't the worst I've ever run into, but it's bad enough not to make me want to put it on very often. I certainly can't sleep in it or even wear it for extended periods. Pretty much just long enough to wear it around for my husband, have some fun, and then complain about the itch and run to the bathroom to take it off. If the fun lasts too long, I have to excuse myself to remove the chemise. What a mood killer.

Of course, as is normally the case, when I have issues with a piece it automatically makes it one of my husband's favorites. He thinks this is one of the sexiest things I've purchased in a while. He loves the honeycomb and wetlook combo. He thinks it looks great on me. Apparently the pointy boobs and over hip exposure escape him.

Pointy boob:

This comes in at four stars for me. My husband's love of it stops it from being just average and my issues stop it from being stellar.
