Black bow mesh moulded bra - bra discontinued by Coquette - review by onehotmomma

The Bow Mesh Moulded Bra is cute, sexy, and fun. It leaves your partner wanting more, and is comfortable to wear, for a while at least :). My bra size is 40B. It's an odd size, and I've ordered other bras and lingerie in size XL and been disappointed that I've had to squeeze myself into it and have had horrible impressions where the band fits around my back. This bra fit me perfectly around the bust line, but the cups are a tad on the large side. I think women with larger boobs would appreciate that! I'll take a little bigger cup over too small anyday. I don't have to squeeze into it, I'm not spilling over the cup, and I have no harsh marks around my bust line like other XL bras.


The picture on the website really shows the detail in the bra. It looks like the mesh is a lighter shade, so the bow detail on the bra itself really pops. That is not the case. The bra is all black, and you can't even tell from a distance that there are little velvet bows patterned on the bra. The only thing that really jumps out is the velvet bow in the center, because it is quite a bit bigger. The mesh ruffle goes across the entire top of the bra and ends at each strap. Where it is sewed onto the bra it looks almost like a garter belt, and adds to the sexiness. The problem with this is if you wear a shirt, it sticks out really bad, and makes you look very lumpy. The straps on the bra go right to my armpit, so it is impossible to have anything cover the straps. That leads to my next problem, when you reach over, or sit down, if you have any sort of flab where your armpit is, it will be poked with the edge of the edge of the ruffles. The bra is slightly padded, but not so much it makes your boobs look huge, and the underwire is quite comfortable. It doesn't stick out or poke anywhere. The velvet straps and Elastic band around the back are simple and cute. They are black and there's not any detail to them. The straps are extremely stretchy. Which makes it comfortable, but even if you have it tightened all the way in a few hours they will constantly be falling down. the band of the bra is stretchy also, and when first put on, I put it on the tightest setting, and within a few hours I could tell that it was getting loose, and then you lose all of the support. I washed this bra before I wore it, with all my dark clothes and there was no problem. I washed it again with my other socks, bras, and underwear..big mistake. I had to lint roll all of the velvet. The white lint had stuck like glue to the straps and bows on the front of the bra.


Overall the pros of this bra outweigh the cons..It's not meant to be an everyday wear bra, it's supposed to be sexy, fun and it serves its purpose. The sizing runs a little larger than other companies, but larger busted women will probably appreciate that. It is comfortable to wear, besides the poking of arm fat from the mesh lace lol. That can easily be overlooked if you are just wearing it for a night of fun.
