I'm in love with this chemise. I bought it because I realized I had nothing that was animal print and wanted to add some leopard print to my collection. I quickly fell in love with it and wear it all the time now. It's a double win in my books because it's comfortable enough that you'll want to lounge around all day in it, but it's also sexy looking. What makes it better is that it has adjustable straps. I'm short; therefore I have shorter shoulders and most un-adjustable straps tend to be way too long for me. But no problem with that with this piece.


I think this would be great for any body type. It drapes over the body well. When I first bought this I was 30lbs heavier and I found it looked great on my body then. Even now I think it still looks great on me, just a little looser than it was before. An added benefit if you're shy about your body is that it's not completely see through, except for the lacy parts. But it shows just enough to add a bit of sexiness to it without needing to feel self conscious. The only really revealing feature about this is the back. It does have a plunging V going down the back with a strap going across it. So if that's what you are worried about showing, you may want to pass on this (but considering the price, I say it still may be worth a shot to try).


It's made from nylon/spandex and while I tend to find cotton to be more comfortable then nylon or spandex this is the exception. I prefer this over my cotton nighties/PJ's. For washing, it's hand wash and air dry. My washing machine has a hand wash setting so I normally toss it in the washer on that setting with similar items. Then I lay it flat on a drying rack. So far, it seems to be holding up pretty well doing that. But I wouldn't wash it on any other setting than hand wash. I think it would damage the lace and I can see the strap that goes across the back getting caught in the wash.
