Mullholland tank dress - dress discontinued by Forplay Lingerie - review by Kissy

Packaging:
The Mullholland Tank Dress by ForPlay came in a ForPlay plastic garment bag. The item was hanging on a hanger inside the bag. The packaging will come in useful for storage. I plan to store it back in this original package, keeping it in tip-top condition. The plastic bag will keep the item from getting dirty and dusty.
The item had a Born in Hollywood tag attached to it with a model on it (not in this dress). The tag has the style number (#221276), size (Small) and color (Black) description on it.
I am ECSTATIC to say it is made in the USA!

Care/ Maintenance:
The care instructions for this item: Hand wash in cold water or dry clean only. I suggest laying it flat to dry, to maintain the structure of the ruching. To keep the shape after washing, I recommend hanging or folding nicely and placing inside original packaging or laying loosely in a drawer.

I am typically a size small-medium. I wear size 4 in dresses and a size 6 in jeans. I have a 34D bust. For this tank dress I ordered the SMALL. The fit was very tight. It hugs my skin and shows each and every curve. It appears to run a bit small, and I would probably be more comfortable in the medium (as long as the neckline "V" wasn't much more deep.)

The "V" shaped neck line is incredibly flattering. It is a deep "V" and shows off quite a bit of skin. The "V" neckline is both in the front and the back of the dress. Beware if you have large boobs...very extreme cleavage ahead! If you don't have large boobs, I think this dress will look stunning on you too! It doesn't discriminate! I was able to wear a bra with this dress, and with a little adjusting, it didn't show!


The dress is sort of adjustable in the way that you can move the stretchy ruching up and down. There is a lot of ruching so you scrunch a lot! When I scrunched it to find a good fit, it fit right under my butt cheeks! Yikes, a little short!

There are 4 main thread seams. Two seams down the sides and two seams down the front and back. There is an additional "V" shaped seam in the front center of the dress. This "V" section adds a bit of texture and design.

There is no pattern, the whole dress is just solid black. There is no bra support. Although, the dress is so tight that it could potentially give you support because it can hold your boobs close to your body. The top is a lot thicker than the bottom skirt. I appreciated the thick top, because my boob outline didn't show through when I was bra-less! On the other hand, I wish the bottom was just as thick. The bottom skirt portion is partially see-through due to the thinner fabric.

The dress is a bit tricky to put on, due to the fact it runs a little small. It is so tight I am sort of scared to rip it as I slip it on over my head. It took a considerable amount of time to carefully slide this over my head and down my body. I compare it to taking on/off a sportsbra - tight and hard to get on/off.

Material/Texture:
Material: 92% Polyester and 8% Spandex
The dress is very comfortable and extremely stretchy. There are elastic lines down all 4 of the main seams in the dress. This is great for the stretch factor! When it is laying flat, it appears so teeny-tiny, then it stretches, stretches, stretches out!


It feels great on my skin. I love the ruching feel as I slide my hands down my sides. As I said before, the top half is thicker than the bottom half. From the straps to the bottom of the boob section (the entire top portion) the fabric is doubled up. From the bottom of the boob section to the bottom of the dress, it is only a single fabric lining. Oh how I dearly wish the whole thing was double fabric! The flaws wouldn't show as much, and it wouldn't be semi-see-through between the skirt legs!

The stitching is superb! Some of the best quality stitching I've seen in lingerie at EdenFantasys! The item feels sturdy, yet I am concerned about how much pulling it can take, since it endures a lot of pulling!

Personal Experience :
The size SMALL fits like a glove on me. Although, I think going another size up, wouldn't be too big. The rouching and stretching both allow for a tight fit! I love the way it looks, even if it is a little bit short for my taste! If I wear a long tube top or a short slip under this, I could cover the fact this skirt is partially see-through. If I want to hide flaws, I could wear shapewear. I will definitely be wearing this dress out of the house! I am so excited about finding a party dress at EdenFantasys!






Conclusion: ★★★★ (because of the see-through skirt portion)

For the sizing portion, I left out my height! (sorry) So here is it: I am 5'4" and this dress hits right below the bum on me.

As for the follow up, this dress is still one of the best I have from EdenFantasys! It has held up well over the past months. It is a great shirt or dress and can be worn in and outside of the house. I feel good in it, and my husband doesn't mind if I wear it out with him either!! We've got a winner!
