Halter-top teddy with g-string - teddy discontinued by Coquette - review by dlw

So this isn't a traditional teddy; it is super unique, modern, and sexy. It's the Monokini of teddies.

MEASUREMENTS/STYLE: The top is pretty much a triangle string bikini top style. It has 2 strings that tie around the neck for a halter look and 2 around the back, all measuring 18 inches each to help adjust your fit. The top is made with an opaque green material, has a silky feeling, and a black trim. There are 3 small satin bows on this piece, 2 located at the top corners of the cups and 1 at the center of the chest. There is no padding or underwire in the cups at all. It's all up to you on this one. Saying that, I would recommend this piece to women with smaller breasts who don't need much support unless you don't mind spilling out (from the top or bottom). The triangle cups are 5 inches from top to bottom and 7 inches across at the widest point, making it 14 inches total across the chest area.

Attached to the top and extending down to the g-string is a lycra ruffled panel. The panel matches the green on the top, with black trim, and has a black mesh ruffle outlined in green down both sides. This panel runs down the center of the body to maybe help someone who isn't totally comfortable exposing their entire stomach. The panel measures 9 inches from the center of the chest to the top of the connecting skirt, and is 5 inches wide including the ruffle.

At the bottom of this panel is an attached 2.5 inch black, bouncy mesh skirt with green stitching around the edge just like the ruffle on the center panel. Under the skirt is an attached black g-string panty. The panty is mesh in the front and has a green bow (matching the bows at the chest) on the back where it meets with the skirt.

The back is open except for the 2 string ties and the ruffle skirt around the waist.

This piece is a little stretchy because it is made of nylon and spandex. The material is also soft and comfortable, making it non-irritating on my skin.

SIZE: This piece is one size fits most. I am 5'8", 120 lbs, 34B, and a size small or 3(ish). The body of the teddy was a little short for me. There wasn't any gapping of the panel and it stayed pretty flat against my stomach, but the lack of inches did cause the top to be a little bit smaller and the crotch of the panty to be super small! Be careful on this one if you're not comfortable with the ya-ya hanging out of this one. I think because of the open sides and g-string bottom, this piece is more lenient and comfortable in the fit. I just don't like how normal teddies seem to ride high on the legs and pull in the middle, causing you to tug at it often (just my opinion). As I stated above, there isn't much support in the bust so this might not be good for larger chested girls. I would recommend this for smaller-framed girls. This is not available in Plus size.

CARE: The tag says to hand wash, but I think this could be thrown in with other lingerie on a delicate cycle with low settings. Then you can hang it up to dry or use the same low settings on your clothes dryer. You don't have to worry about wrinkles with this piece and can fold it up and put it in your lingerie drawer without any worries.

This is a unique piece for sure. It is sexy... if you can get it to fit right. If you don't mind the ladies accidentally popping out or the ya-ya being exposed, then have at it. I love this piece; I just wish it fit me a little bit better.
I chose this green color for St. Patrick's Day. I don't have anything else like it (in design or color).
The price isn't too high to maybe try it out and see if it works for you.

Yes, I love this still. In fact, I have bought others in other colors. It has held up fine with washing. It seems like it has gotten softer...you know like your favorite tshirt just gets a little more comfortable...and still holds it's sexiness. I for sure give this piece 2 thumbs up.
