Undercover lover bodysuit - teddy discontinued by Seven 'til Midnight - review by Breas

The Undercover Lover Bodysuit by Seven ‘til Midnight is available in sizes S-XL. I purchased the size XL (or so I thought). It arrived in a plastic bag with no text or photos on it. It’s not ideal for storing the outfit when not being worn. I just keep items like this in a drawer. There was a cardboard tag attached to the bodysuit with a photo of a model wearing the outfit and states the company name, company website, size of outfit, and a few features of this specific outfit.

So what happened when I tried the outfit on was it was scary tight on me. I was able to pull the body suit over my head and down my body but the snaps would not do up because it was just way too tight. My C cups were overflowing in the cups. My first thought was “okay, I clearly am no longer a size XL”.

When I took the outfit off, I noticed the tag had a big letter “M” on it (so it’s actually a size medium). The cardboard tag had it listed as XL so the company clearly put the wrong tag on the wrong size. Since I had already taken measurements of the outfit and wrote a lot of information about the appearance, I figured I’d write the review on the piece for quality, sizing, etc.





The bodysuit is just one piece. It’s 92% polyester and 8% spandex. The outfit is opaque and stretchy. The bodysuit does not become sheer when it’s stretched. I’ve taken a few measurements of the outfit laying flat, unstretched. If you need additional measurements, send me a message and I can get them for you.

Cup length (taken down centre of cup): 5 ½ inches
Cup width: 8 inches
Chest (armpit to armpit): 15 inches
Waist: 10 ½ inches
Hips: 15 ¼ inches
Length of body suit (armpit to bottom): 13 ½ inches

The bodysuits main colour is black. There is a purple panel running down the centre front of the piece. This purple area has an overlay of black lace material. The lace has a floral pattern to it. It’s really pretty! The outfit has moulded cups with a padded lining. The bottom half of each cup has a nice thick padding to it. The cups also have underwire.

The outfit has snap closures at the crotch. There are 2 rows of snap closures with 2 snaps in each row. The rows are approximately ½ of an inch from each other. The snaps are little and made of plastic but they hold quite well. Once snapped, you shouldn’t have any issues with the closure coming undone.



The shoulder straps are stretchy, adjustable in length, and they are also detachable. I thought this was quite nice because if you’re wearing the outfit beneath a shirt and the black straps don’t match, you can always put a different pair of straps on the suit.

I’ve always found teddies to look like bathing suits. This bodysuit is no exception. I don’t really wear teddies because I find them to be more of a hassle in the bedroom then anything. I thought the snap closures at the crotch were really neat to this piece because it makes it easier for intercourse.

When I purchased this outfit, I wasn’t sure if I was going to wear it in the bedroom or not. When I had read on the product page that it was “…shapewear designed to slim, smooth, and enhance…” I figured that even if it didn’t work in the bedroom for me then at least I could wear it beneath my clothing to slim out the chubby areas. I’ve got a belly and hips so I usually wear control top pantyhose beneath certain pieces while out in public. I figured this would work just as well.

The crotch of the bodysuit doesn’t have a lining in it so you’ll probably want to wear something beneath the outfit if you’re wearing it for longer periods of time. The quality of the outfit is really good. There were no loose threads or fraying and all the stitching is done nicely. It seems to be an outfit that would be durable and last the wearer for a long time.

The care tag states that the outfit should be hand washed and line dried. It should not be bleached or ironed. Since I received the wrong size, I can’t tell you how well it fit my body since the outfit was way too tight on me. I can tell you though that the cups are best for a B cup or smaller. Also when I had tried the outfit on, even though it was freakishly tight on my body, the material was really soft against the skin.

I’m giving the outfit a 5 out 5 based on price, quality and appearance. Since I didn’t receive the right size, I can’t factor in the way it fits on my body. As I had mentioned, I was able to fit into the medium (not comfortably because it was so darn tight) so that tells you that the material has a crazy amount of stretch to it. I really like the outfit and plan on getting the XL like I had initially intended. Once I receive the XL, I will update in the follow up review as to how it fit me.
