Mayan Magic Mini Dress is a Dreamgirl garment. This Mini Dress can be worn nightclubbing or for a special occasion with your special someone. I highly recommend it. It is a halter dress designed with a deep plunging cowl neck which would require an adventurous spirit. Does that describe you?

As a halter dress, a folded over section of the fabric circles the neck. This piece is folded at the neckline and seamless all the way from the dress up and around the neck. The outer edge of the halter strap has an elasticized seam. The back is cut very low to right at the waistline. And a thin strip of the fabric goes across the back at the same area as a bra does. This strip keeps the sides of the dress from falling forward. This is a very sexy and lovely mini dress.

The Mini Dress came nicely folded on a plastic hanger. It was in a clear plastic bag with no decoration or information printed on the bag. There are two cards attached to the dress. One of them has a picture on one side of it of Mayan Magic Mini Dress. The other side of the card includes Dreamgirl information such as their website, a barcode, style color and size. The other card has the fabric information printed in several languages on one side. Printed on the other side of it is information about the manufacturer, Dreamgirl.

The color of the Mayan Magic Mini Dress fabric is a Python print. It really doesn't look like one of those creatures to me. The color includes beige, black, and a beautiful combination of a couple shades of brown. The pattern of the print seems to have a vertical nature.

The fabric of the Mini Dress is comprised of 92% polyester and 8% spandex. The spandex gives the perfect stretch vertically and horizontally. The material has a soft silky feel. And, the fabric is opaque. The fabric is of a substantial thickness or weight without being heavy.

The Mini Dress has double stitched seams on all edges including the inside side seams. There is an actual hem at the bottom edge. The very edge of the hem fabric has the same stitching as the seams. These seams have a touch more stretch than the fabric. All the seams are well sewn.

I ordered Mayan Magic Mini Dress in a size large. My measurements do fall within the large size It also comes in a size small and medium. Here is a copy of Dreamgirl's sizing chart for all three sizes:

Mayan Magic Mini Dress requires the same care as any fine garment. I gently wash it in tepid water with gentle soap. Then I squeeze out the excess water after thoroughly rinsing. I follow this by laying the dress out on a large towel which I tightly roll up to absorb any remaining water. Then I lay the Mini Dress on a dry towel and let it air dry on my bed. I would suggest not hanging while drying since the remaining moisture can weigh the dress down and may pull it out of shape.

I've only had two opportunities to wear Mayan Magic Mini Dress nightclubbing. Since I don't have quite the spunk to wear it with the deep plunging cowl neck, I have made adjustments to the cowl neck which still leaves a nice drape of the fabric and allows me to feel comfortable wearing it. I do need the support of a bra. Of course, if I was just wearing it for a special someone's eyes only, all caution would go right out the window. The length is more than adequate to cover my tush. When I stand straight, the hem is right at my fingertips when my arms and hands are relaxed at my side, roughly, 36" in length. The halter strap is very comfortable around my neck. The back strap across my back is comfortable and doesn't feel binding at all. I feel comfortable with the degree of the low cut of the back as well which is held securely to my back with the elasticized edge seam. I can easily move around in the Mini Dress with no concerns of anything falling out or getting exposed. Of course, that takes into account the adjustment I made to the cowl neck. I will say though, when I was younger, the plunge of the cowl neck wouldn't have presented a challenge to me at all.

I had forgotten about this dress until a couple weeks ago. It's been over a year since I've worn it. So forgotten & unworn, well, I had to change that. I slipped into the mini dress for a special afternoon outing last week. I adjusted the dress as I've done every time I'd worn it before. The look was ok, but not like in the product photo. I adjusted & worked with the neckline several times before deciding to opt for another outfit. I want the dress to fit as depicted in the product photo & the little card that was attached to it when I first got it. It just doesn't. The product photo is the reason why I got it and I'm disappointed that how it wears is just not the same. .
