The Tutu Skirt Corset and Stockings by DreamGirl is absolutely adorable. The set is available in sizes 32-38. I had ordered the size 38.

The outfit arrived on a DreamGirl plastic hanger, surrounded by plastic. There was no text or photos on the bag. You could keep the plastic if you wanted to, but I prefer to keep the set just on the hanger it came with. The set comes with 4 pieces; the tutu skirt, the top, a pair of stockings, and a thong. The stockings came in a little zip lock style bag, attached to the top. The top also has detachable, adjustable shoulder and garter straps that are already on the top when it arrived.



The outfit is 100% polyester and has quite a bit of stretch to it.

Both the garter straps and shoulder straps are detachable. I don’t usually wear garter straps but like having the shoulder straps to hold the top up. The stockings that come with the outfit are thin and sort of cheap. They tend to roll down, so if you were to use the stockings that the outfit came with, you might want to use the garter straps to hold them up. Or, you could use a different pair of stockings you have.

The top has 8 plastic boning pieces in it; 4 down the front, 2 down the back, and 1 on each side. The boning is really weak and flexible; it won’t do any sort of shaping for your body. The front of the top has 5 sections of gathering. The top does up with a zipper closure down the centre back of the top (you can see this in the photo below). There is no padding or underwire in the chest area.



The top was fairly easy to put on. I did the shirt up backwards, and then twisted it around so it was facing the right way. It probably would have been easier to get my partner to do it for me, but I figured I’d give it a try myself.

I usually wear a C cup, and I found the top fit me fine, though the style of the top made my chest look non-existent. I tried pulling the top down a bit, and then pulling my boobs up, but they still look barely there. Since there is no support in the chest, you could wear a strapless with the top, though you don’t have to because the top material is not sheer.

The skirt has 5 layers of ruffle. There is a material underneath these ruffles that go a bit longer than the last ruffle so that you can’t see your bum (the ruffle material is sheer). I’ve tried taking a photo of the under layer of the skirt below.



The skirt is pretty darn short (see measurements above). I’m 5’6, and it went just a bit further than my bum. The skirt looks fine in the front, but in the back it’s a bit high. It would have been nice if they took into consideration the bigger booties like my own and made the back a tad longer. It doesn’t look bad it’s just short. If you find it is too short for you, you could pair it with leggings.

There really isn’t anything snazzy about the thong. It’s a basic, black thong with a liner inside. I found the thong to be a bit small. It wasn’t small in the waistband, but rather the length of the thong itself. I’ll probably just wear any regular panty with this outfit instead of the thong it came with.

The material of the outfit was comfortable, except for when the top material touched my armpits. On me, the top kept creeping up and when the mesh-like material rubbed against my armpit, it hurt. I put the straps at the longest length but the top still kept creeping up my body. When I pulled the top down, it didn’t irritate my inner arms. I guess I just have sensitive armpits. The skirt has the same type of material for the ruffles, but luckily there is that bottom material so the ruffles don’t rub against your skin while wearing it.

The care tag states that the thong and the tutu skirt should be hand washed in cold water and line dried. However, the top care tag says that it should be dry cleaned only.

Below are a few photos of me wearing the outfit. The first photo is a front view, second is a side view, third is the back, and fourth is with a cardigan (this is how I’d wear it in public). You can see in the second and third photo that the top likes to creep up and reveal a bit of my belly/sides. The stockings that I am wearing in the photos are the ones that came with the outfit. I had them up on my thighs, but they rolled down almost instantly so I left them where they rolled.



Overall, I’m happy with this purchase. It’s a really cute outfit that can be worn in or out of the bedroom. You can even wear the pieces separately, which is a nice bonus. The only real issue I had was the top creeping up and rubbing against my armpits, and this is why it has lost one star in its rating. I also am sad to see that it doesn’t come in larger sizes so that everyone can enjoy this outfit.
