Introduction

The Maid for fun costume by Escante is actually a very cute costume. The costume is available in sizes Small, Medium, Large, 1X, 2X, 3X. This set includes the maid dress, apron, panty, garters, and hose. I ordered in the 3X size because that was the only size left in stock.





The main part of the costume is black and white. The full portion of the skirt area is black, and the top is white and black. The majority of the front is white. Both cups have a wide layer of lace that comes off the top. On top of the lace, there is a thin black lace that has a very thin ribbon running through it. The white ribbon in the middle appears to be 1/8" ribbon. There is also another layer of white lace that accentuates the top of the cups. This lace is gathered, and seems to be 5/8". This gives a frilly look to the cups. The cups do have metal underwires. The underwires do not fit against my body. They come out on the bottom of my breast.









Along the sides of the cups, there is another type of white lace. This lace is very thin. It also runs around the full back of the dress. There is a white bow in the center of the dress, between the cups. It's made from 1/4" satin ribbon. There is no lining on the breast cups. There is only one layer of satin feeling fabric on the cups.

Down the front of the dress, there is a white panel that is 7" wide X 11 1/4" long. On the sides of this panel, there are the same black ribbon accents that the shoulder straps are made with.

There is no detailing on the bottom (skirt) portion of the dress, on the front or the back. Underneath the skirt, there is a sheer nylon skirt that is sewn into the black skirt. This part hangs down a little so it is exposed. 1 3/4" of the sheer white skirt is exposed. It doesn't make the dress puffy, or lumpy.







Under the sheer skirt, there are 4 black garters that aren't adjustable. These are also sewn into the dress. The only way to remove them would be to snip them off. There are elastic garters, and they are very stretchy.
The same black lace, with white ribbon in the middle, is what is used for the shoulder straps on the dress. The shoulder straps are adjustable.
In order to stop any itching from the lace, the shoulder straps have a ribbon underneath that feels like satin. This ribbon is 3/8" wide.






Panty

The panty is mainly black. The back of the panty is almost a full back panty. It's more of a bikini style. The trim around the full panty is white elastic. The elastic doesn't cut into me because they are too large to stay up on me. I would imagine that they would be comfortable fitting for those in the size ranges listed. There is no cotton crotch lining in the panties. There is only a seam running across the area that hits near the crotch area. This is a little raised, and may be irritating to some. There are no ruffles or details on the panty.








Apron

The apron is black and white. The actual apron part is white and the belt that ties around the waist is black. The sash part is 1 1/2" wide. There is a white lace trim that goes around the white part of the apron. The lace is a little over 1 1/2" wide. The ribbon used for the belt is satin. The white material feels to be polyester.






Garter

The garter included with the set is mainly a white lace fabric. It stretches very easily and doesn't cut into my leg. It fits my leg perfectly. If only the hose worked the same way, I would be set.
The part of the garter that goes around the thigh is elastic. It's 3/8" white elastic, to be exact.
To give a nice contrast to the garter, there is a black satin ribbon that runs around the garter. It has a ruched look, where the elastic bunches up. It's simple in design but looks quite nice. There is a black bow on the front of the garter. The bow is satin, and made with 1/8" ribbon. The bow is about 1 1/2" wide.





Hose

The hose included with the set are sheer. They are black, and they are nylon material. The hose do run small. They also snag easily. The top part of the stockings would never go up on my leg, over my calf.

Material

The dress is made of polyester and nylon. There are also laces and ribbons that may have a mixture of other fabrics.



Packaging


The costume set arrived in a clear plastic bag that was completely transparent. The dress was on a plastic hanger inside the bag. One end of the bag had a seal that was easy to open. I kept the costume stored in this bag for a little while, but now I keep it stored on the original hanger in my closet, so it doesn't wrinkle.



Fit

The dress portion fits very large on my body but very small on my breasts. Again, I knew this was going to be the case. The hose are too small, and the panties are too large. The garter and the apron fit well. The dress is a little stretchy, although the sheer skirt underneath is not. The white part over the breasts show every little outline. The nipples are completely shown while wearing this. A liner, or padding would have remedied this issue. My partner liked that. I, on the other hand, didn't.








This would be perfect for bedroom play, but not if you were wearing it for a costume, out in public.

I like how the black is opaque. I had hoped that the white would be as well. I'm just going to keep it for bedroom play. I think it would work best for someone who wears 18-20 and who had a DD or smaller cup size. The dress does stop right at the bottom of my butt cheeks. When I bend over, everything is exposed. This is when a nice pettiskirt, or ruffled panties would be nice to have on. I'm short, and it's super short on me. If you were over 5'3", this is going to show a lot without bending over.


Washing/Care

The tag inside the dress states to hand wash with cold water, and wash separately. Use only non chlorine bleach, when needed. Do not wring or twist. Line dry.

Rating
The look of the set is gorgeous. It just didn't fit me well because of sizing issues that I'm used to. If I could have ordered the L or XL, that had a large cup size, like Coquette; this would be the ultimate maid outfit for me.

There are tags that can be itchy, you can cut them out to solve this problem.

This is one of the sexier costumes that worked for me in the maid department. The colors were great and the fit was awesome! It will flatter most body types.
