Maid for fun costume - sexy costume by Escante - review by prttynink

I got this costume as a Halloween 'treat' for my partner. The costume came with stockings and a lace garter, which was one reason I chose it (the other being I'm a little shy when it comes to costumes, so I wanted something on the moderate side).

After reading other reviews that Escante products can run a little small, I ordered a medium. The medium fits well across the chest, but unfortunately the rest of the costume just kind of hangs unattractively on me. While I would prefer the dress fit a little tighter this problem can be masked by my favorite part of the costume: the apron.

Unlike other French maid outfits I've seen, the little white apron is a separate piece from the dress. This is nice because a) I can cinch it around my waist to make the dress look like it fits better and b)it's so cute, it could easily be worn on it's own with a nice lace thong and matching bra and be just as fun.

The real disappointment for me were the stockings.

I was expecting thigh highs, similar to what the model is shown in; what I got barely came up past my knee, and were so tight I struggled trying to put them on/take them off. I'm about 5'8" and 125 lbs, and have never had a problem with medium/regular size hosiery, so I'm guessing these stockings were either very cheaply made or simply the wrong size. I tossed them and purchased a different pair.

Though the costume is Polyester(80%) and Nylon(20%) it is reasonably soft and comfy. I've only worn it once so I can't comment on how durable it is yet. Its instructions say to wash by hand, but it held up just fine through the "hand wash" cycle of my washing machine.

The thong that came with the set was alright. It also was a hair too big for me, but my partner thought it was cute and as far as inclusive panties go it wasn't the worst.

Because of the fit issues, this costume has been relegated to the back of my closet, and I've honestly more or less forgotten about the dress. The little white apron and the garter have both been tucked into my dresser to occasionally make an appearance, but that's about it. I don't regret buying it (as I mentioned in my first review, it served its purpose as a Halloween costume just fine) but in the future I will look for something better-fitting, that I can feel sexy enough in to wear more than once.
