First, let me share my triple motivation for writing this review: I was curious about the difference between a short, sexy nightie and a "chemise" (answer: nothing, except a French word--ooo-la-la). I also want to stand up for my brothers and counter all the womens reviews of male items. I protest that it is unfair! And then thirdly, there are the times I have to suck up to the Mrs. and what better (and easier) way than giving her something that tells her how sexy I think she is? When I removed this pretty red NIGHTIE (with very small black hearts all over it) from the box, I liked what I saw. It is a very nice shade of red and felt soft when I picked it up. There is a very sheer black ruffle at the top and bottom, satin black double straps with bows on them, and small matching bows on the bottom ruffle. The red fabric is stretchy and the more I stretched it, the more sheer it became. It is made of nylon and spandex, which gives it the elastic quality. Tucked inside the folded nightie is a tiny red thong. Very tiny. Very, very tiny.

The bows look like they would easily come off in a washing machine, so I would recommend hand washing and drying---of course no bleach unless you are a fan of splotchy messes, which (by experience) I am not (plus, it upsets the Mrs. when I screw up the laundry).


I couldn't wait for that evening, and since the Mrs. was home when it arrived, I gave it to her right away. She agreed with me that it is a nice shade of red, is stretchy and feels soft to the touch. She wasn't in the mood for trying it on because we were expecting company (was that an excuse or a hint?). So I waited. And waited. And waited some more. Finally, it was the next morning.


As the Mrs. came out of the shower, I confronted her with the nightie. She was feeling frisky, so she put it on (at last!!). I must say, a fine model she has become! She put the thong on, but not being a fan of things up her backside (her words), it came off pretty quickly. It fit her well, didn't quite cover her front "lady bits" (yes, I plagiarized that phrase from another EF reviewer, but do not recall who...I am not an expert on womanly vocabulary) so maybe the front panel should be larger and there should be more in the back, but I say that is a personal preference. Maybe the company could give the consumer a choice. The nightie fit very well (in my opinion) but the Mrs. claims that, although it was comfortable because of the softness and stretchability, she did not like the way it (in her words) "...clings to..." her body. She also noted, if this means something to you women, that it had plenty of room in the armpits and did not dig in and leave any marks. I think she has such nice soft body parts to touch, but she would like them to be gone, or at least smaller, except for the breasts, (which I own). That's a woman thing, right? She sits just above the mid-point of the Dream Girl size chart (M/L), but thinks any woman at the very upper range should know that it clings---if that is something you are uncomfortable about, this is not the item for you. In the picture it looks loose and slightly swingy. It may be that way for the smaller sizes, but for the Mrs. there was a bit of stretch going on...but I liked it!!


We were at home for a few hours before going out for the day, so Mrs. wore it around the house as she did what she does (I wouldn't think of asking...) and she looked darn sexy while doing what she does. She found it comfortable for doing what she does, but when she was done doing what she does, she took a pair of quite ordinary undies from her drawer and put them on. Darn, darn, darn...I liked the other view better.


I still have such good taste in women---I found the best and I kept her!!!

I really like this nightie and even though it is chilly where we are now, she has worn it to bed and kept it on until morning. We have 2 comforters and a blanket on the bed here. She doesn't wear the thong (or other panties) to bed with this, which I find to be very nice. The nightie is long enough to cover her lady bits, but I can get a peek as she moves and I know they are still in place.


Well guys, this was a tough assignment, but I encourage you to try it out. From the Rolling Stones, "Symphony for the Devil": "You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometime, you just may find, you get what you need". Be good to your woman, and she'll be good to you!!!

This sexy nighty has been worn a few more times since the original review. The Mrs. still looks quite alluring and seductive in it. One note is that with washing, it has become softer. It has held up well--I don't see any tears in the fabric or seams. Mrs. still doesn't wear the thong (she is not a fan of things up her butt). I would recommend this to women of all body types.
