Bustier and gartered short set - bra and panty set discontinued by Magic Silk - review by Vanessa Weiss

I was rather excited about receiving my first lingerie to review. Unfortunately, it turned out not to be the best of experiences.

The entire set is made of somewhat low-quality satin, with flimsy non-functional bones around the bustier ostensibly to keep its shape, which didn't happen - they just made it buckle and fold in weird ways.

As I am a petite but curvy woman, I erred on the side of caution and went with the M/L option. I'm not exactly sure who this is meant to fit, to be honest, because the bustier was much too big — the cups were at LEAST two sizes too big, and I'm a 34D. The band, however, fit fine, aside from weird buckling/folding issues with the bones in the sides of the bustier. So, I'm guessing this item is meant for ladies with small ribcages and really, really big boobs.

The panty, on the other hand, fit me fine, which was bizarre given how wacky the size was on the bustier. However, there were still problems - the pink bow on the front was sewn on sideways so it looks lopsided. The detachable garters are a nice touch - if you're not wearing stockings having the garters hanging there can look tacky - but mine came with only three garters out of the four it was supposed to have.

Overall, I was unimpressed with the crazy sizing, the poor-quality material, the sloppiness of the detailing and the lack of one of the vital components of the product. I recognize that I may have just gotten a randomly bad product, but

There was absolutely no way that I could make this work. I really hate writing negative reviews, and I thought this item had such potential to be really sexy and adorable — but it didn't work out. It didn't work out in every possible way.
