What is it?:

The Purple Sequin Trim babydoll (with matching thong) by DreamGirl is a sexy sheer piece of lingerie with some lace edging and sequin detailing. This set will look great on most women and it's not only a gorgeous plum color, it's very affordable at $14.99.

This set is meant to be worn in the privacy of your own home since it's so sheer but some exotic dancers may find it an appealing wardrobe choice for their line of work. There are two colors to choose from, purple and red and also two sizes, one size and plus size.

Material: 100% Nylon, exclusive of trim/decoration

Nylon is generally a strong, tough, and resilient polymer which offers good barrier and high fatigue properties. It is hypo-allergenic and offers good resistance to oils, greases and solvents. Nylon also has good resistance to a wide range of chemicals and a high abrasion and weathering resistance.

The nylon feels soft and smooth and is somewhat stretchy. While the lace edging is also somewhat soft and stretchy, it actually has some texture to it unlike the nylon. Under the bust the lace band is not stretchy but it is somewhat soft while being a bit textured like lace usually is. The sequins are sewn on this band and are totally flat and smooth to give off a good shine. There are elastic bands, on the thong and making up the neck ties on the babydoll, that are very stretchy and somewhat rough to the touch.

The only odor to this set is one of new clothing and it dissipates with a gentle hand washing.



Design: All measurements are taken with the garments laid flat

The Babydoll: Two 12" wide by 15" long oval panels of nylon are attached to two 10 1/2" long by 5" wide triangular panels (the cups) of material by way of a 1" thick band of lace and sewn-on sequins. This band measures 14" across and the lace on the edges of the cups and bottom "flaps" measure 1/2" thick. On each bottom flap or panel there is a 13" long tie closure that wraps around your rib cage and ties with one another to keep this "closed". On the highest point of the cups are 20" long elastic band ties that go around your neck and tie in back like a halter style top.

There are three tags sewn into the seam on the left bottom panel that show the DreamGirl logo, "Made in China", care instructions and material.



The Thong: The thong is a single panel of nylon material with elastic straps sewn around the edges and used for the waistband which measures 11" wide. From the top of the crotch to the bottom of the crotch front measures 6" long and the back measures the same; 6" long from the waistband to the bottom. The front of the thong is about 3" wide while the back is about 1 1/2" wide and the panty liner is 1 1/2" wide by just over 3 1/2" long.

There is one white tag sewn into the back seam which states care instructions and material.

There are no loose threads sticking out anywhere, the sequins are securely attached and all the seams are sewn evenly without overlaps, bunched material or gaps.

The babydoll and thong fit me perfectly with a little bit of room for comfort. The ends of the babydoll "flaps" on the bottom covered the top of my butt, about an inch or two, but I'm only 5'1" so taller ladies may find this to be a bit shorter on them. The only thing I would change is making the thong a tad wider because it was almost too small to be completely comfortable.

Storing, Care & Packaging:

The tag on the babydoll says dry clean only but you could very gently hand wash it, along with the thong, being careful not to disturb the sequins. Let them drip dry or lay flat on a towel and do NOT bleach, twist or wring out.

To store this set just place it in your lingerie drawer, hang it up in your closet or place it in a lingerie envelope before putting it on a shelf or in a drawer.

The babydoll and thong came folded up inside a sealed plastic bag that was inside a paperboard box with a photo of a model wearing the set on the front along with the DreamGirl name, the size and the color. The back shows a photo of the model from the backside wearing the set but it also has some sizing information and a little blurb about the set itself.

This is probably the sexiest piece of lingerie I own at the moment and I couldn't be happier with the fit and look when on. I do believe the hubby would agree!
