Let This Babydoll Fly Away
This looked like a promising piece when we ordered it. Once it arrived we were disappointed. The fabric is scratchy to wear, the floral lace pattern doesn't look as good as in the model picture and no matter how tried to adjust the straps we couldn't get a good fit. Not a keeper.

Pros
Straps are adjustable, padded bra cups
Cons
Scratchy lace, poor fit.
The Floral Lace Babydoll with G-String by Coquette was a piece we were both excited to try. My wife enjoys flirty, feminine babydolls for both intimate encounters and for sleeping in on warmer evenings. We both thought this looked sexy when we ordered it and were excited to try it out. Sadly we were disappointed, as we will detail below.
Packaging
The babydoll arrived in a clear plastic bag, similar to what you get from the dry cleaners and on a black plastic hanger that had the Coquette brand name on it. Attached to the babydoll was a shelf-type tag that had the Coquette a name, a picture of the model wearing the garment and a bar code. The G-string in also on the hanger.
The packaging is not great for storage or for gift-giving. Anyone who would be receiving this would know exactly what it is. If I were going to give this as a gift I would put it in a separate box and discard the plastic bag. The hanger could be used for storage, but since we store all of my wife's lingerie in a lingerie drawer in her dresser we would discard the hanger.
Garment Design/Material
The babydoll comes in a variety of sizes ranging from SM through 1X/2X. It comes in one color, black. The babydoll has a solid black bra with the rest of the garment being lace with a floral pattern. The cups on the bra section of this babydoll are padded, which are nice and the black straps are adjustable. There is also a black satin-type bow on the bust. It can be removed from the garment because it is attached by a small black pin similar to a safety pin.
The babydoll is described as floral lace and I agree with that somewhat. It reminds me more of a chain, or diamond pattern, with heavier black lace running between the small, kind of hard to make out flowers. It is very, very sheer and I would not advise wearing this outside of the bedroom. We have a toddler who tends to come crawl in bed with us in the middle of the night when he had a bad dream and this was so sheer that my wife didn't want to wear it to sleep in when he was home. Each time we tried it on we waited until he was at grandparents' house.
The babydoll is made from 100% polyester. There is no smell to this garment, as some polyester garments can have a fake smell. We did not taste this at all so I can't give any information on that.
Fit/Comfort
Being made of lace we thought this would be a light, flowing-type babydoll that would be comfortable for my wife and for playtime. There is no stretch to this garment at all and can fit in a strange way. The first time my wife tried this on it looked huge on her.
For reference we ordered the L. My wife is 5'6, 38C cup size and wears a size 10 in dresses and jeans. Most of the other items from Coquette that we have ordered in a L fit fine, but this seemed to swallow her. The bra was sagging and even after we adjusted the bra straps it didn't fit too much better. But the bra wasn't sagging any longer and we were able to continue with our evening.
That is until my wife laid down in the babydoll. After no more than a minute she was complaining that the fabric was rough and scratchy on her. I had noticed the same thing when running my hands along the fabric and found it somewhat rough to the touch. The only thing that felt comfortable for my wife was the padded bra cups. That felt nice but after a few more minutes she had to take off the babydoll because it was made her too itchy.
We washed the garment and tried it one more time, thinking that laundering it might soften the lace. No such luck, after a few minutes the second time out she was coming out of it again.
The G-string while made from the same material overall was actually very comfortable. It had much more give and the floral pattern that was as pretty on the babydoll looked great on the G-string. We have since gotten rid of the babydoll, it just wasn't going to work for us, but have kept the G-string.

Experience
Care
This could be hand washed and air dried or run through the washing machine in a lingerie bag on cold water/gentle cycle and then hung to dry. We tried the latter when we were trying to soften the fabric and the babydoll held up fine overall. As mentioned earlier, I would store this in a lingerie drawer, although the hanger could be used for storage as well.
Experience
I wanted to like this, I really did. So did my wife. But after having trouble with the cups fitting correctly and the scratchy material it just didn't make my wife feel sexy, or even pretty. Coquette makes some really great products, but I wouldn't say that this is one of them unfortunately.
