Strappy bikini top with g-string - bra and pants set discontinued by Coquette - review by ~LaUr3n~

Less is more? More frustration... Yea this set is sexy, because it makes the wearer scantily clad, however it's design fits oddly. It isn't uncomfortable though and for the price you get an inexpensive and very unique piece. Just don't expect it to look how it does on the model, unless you have fake boobs. Don't get me wrong, I am not dissapointed that I bought this two piece bikini style set.

*Material:

Both pieces are 80% Nylon and 20% Spandex which excludes the lace trim. The ties are very soft and stretchy. The lace isn't as soft but it isn't irritating at all. The pattern on the heart shapes is gorgeous and actually matches another outfit I own. I plan to wear it under this chemise someday. I like the soft color pink that is used. It is girly but not too loud.

*Design/craftsmanship

The top is a string bikini style with semi-open cups. It ties as a halter around the neck and around the back. There is plenty of tie to accommodate different sizes and to custom adjust the fit. There are three strings that attach to the heart shapes I the center of the "cup". This keeps the heart shape in the middle. They are each have lace trim with is bunched and a bit too much. It overtakes the heart shape to the point that they just look like blobs of fabric. They don't look like the nice shapes in the photo at all. At the tops of the "cups" where it attaches the the halter strings are two cute and small bows.

All of the heart shapes, both the breast ones, and the one on the panties have a weird wax cloth thing that lines the hearts. Their purpose is to keep the shape rigid, but they don't really do that all that well. They can get crimped easily. To show them, since they are hard to describe, I've taken a picture. The one shown is the one behind the heart on the panties. You can also see the placement of the annoying tag, that will get chopped off after this review.





The panties are a style that I don't particularity care for. I don't like crotchless panties that are string thongs, which is what these are. The part that goes around the hips in very stretchy and in the back is a large pink satin bow. The heart shape on the panties is larger than those on the bra. It also sits higher on the lower abdomen than in the picture. If you wear it as low as she is, it won't work as a crotchless pantie. It's tough to be used as one in the first place. From the bottom of the heart two strap go in between the legs and attach at the same place in the back (below the bow). This makes the straps lie next to each other and don't leave space for showing the good bits. It not easy to have sex in either.

It isn't the highest quality that I have received from Coquette. I say this because of the forms of the heart and also that with a light tug to pull these off of me, my boyfriend broke seems on the panties in three different places. He wasn't being rough and so I was surprised it broke that easily.

*Cleaning/care/storage:

According to the tag, you should hand wash in cold water and then drip dry. I wouldn't put this through a washer or dryer because of those weird backing pieces on the hearts. I did try to iron them and that helped the form a bit, but be careful. The set does come in a cardboard box with images of the outfit being worn on it. I like to use it for storage since it keeps the two pieces together.

*Sizing:

Overall Coquette's sizing has been pretty good to me and their One Size hasn't been horrible for me personally either, but it still isn't as accurate as their more specific sizes. The One-size is supposed to fit dress size 4-14, cups size B (uh...the model so does not have a B...), band size 34-40", waist size 26-32", and hip 36-42".

I'm a dress size 9/10 about ~150 pounds, with size 36 D breasts. This fit me okay but was tightest in the hips. This makes the measurements in the chart inaccurate for the upper end. this would totally not fit a dress size larger than me and also wouldn't be good for a B cup. It it best for C-D and looks best of fake boobs if you want it to look how it does on the model.

The bra was a bit hard to get on just right. I had to adjust the ties around the back and neck a few times to position the hearts just right. It was comfortable though. However, my nipples would eventually escape no matter how I wore this. It's impossible to tie tightly to secure the hearts in place because it just pulls them apart more.

The bottoms were okay, but don't fit anything close to the 36"-42" range that is proposed. Based on my size hips, this fits the lower end of that. My hips are about 38" and they only cut in slightly.

Knowing all of that, the chart is not great for a one-size fits most. Here is my re-done chart:

Dress: 4-10
Cup: C-D, fake preferably
Band: 34-38"
Waist: You don't have to worry about this
Hips: 35-38"

*Conclusion:

For the price this was worth it, but only because it is so unique. The quality is decent but not great for Coquette and I found a few flaws in the design also. It fit me fine, but my measurements were in the middle or low end of the one size and so the higher end proposal isn't accurate at all. The bra top took a bit of adjusting to get on but after all was said and done...it was a win in my boyfriend's eyes. That earns this set 3 stars.

This was kind of a one time deal for me. I still have it but the seams on the panties broke very easily and the floppy hearts are a bit too annoying. I don't like how the panties are designed either. I am still glad I bought it for the initial wear of it, but it has lost its appeal.
