Chemise thong and jacket - chemise and panty set by DreamGirl - review by Feisty

This black, three piece lingerie set is made by DreamGirl and includes a sequin accented chemise with jacket and matching thong. It came on a plastic hanger inside a plastic bag. The chemise came with a DreamGirl tag attached that can be easily removed. Each piece has a white tag stitched inside that has information about size, material and care. It is offered in three different sizes: small, medium, large. I ordered a small and I think for the most part, it runs true to size. I'm 5'4" and have provided my measurements in comparison to the DreamGirl size chart.

The waist of the chemise was a little big on me, but it fit me well everywhere else. The jacket and thong fit me perfectly. I am on the higher end of the size chart for a small and it fit well, so I do think that if you are on the higher end of a recommended size, stick with it and do not go the next size up because most likely it will fit you well. The set is made out of 100% Nylon and so there is a bit of a stretch to the outfit and it makes the outfit form-fitting. Keep in mind that there is no underwire or any kind of breast support.

The chemise is shorter than expected and so I would consider it more of a top. On me, the chemise barely covers my crotch and just starts to cover my butt. The chemise is made out of a sheer floral lace. I found the lace to be comfortable and not itchy. There are lace ruffles that line the bottom of the chemise and a decorative line of sequins along the top front. The chemise has two stretchy adjustable straps, and has two straps on the side below the armpit for hanging, which can be easily cut off if not wanted.


The jacket is made of the same sheer lace. It is really adorable and I would wear it on top of everyday outfits. The jacket is a cropped style that ends about at the end of where my shoulder blades stick out on my back. There are matching ruffles that line the entire edge and capped sleeves. There is no button closure, but there is no need because it lays nicely along the outside edge of your breasts.


The thong is also made of the same sheer lace, and has a cloth crotch liner. It has the same black stretchy black straps that are on the chemise, which ensures a nice fit.


Overall, I was really pleased with the design and fit of the outfit, however, the quality of the product could be improved. When I pulled it out of the package, I noticed some fuzzy strings poking out along the sequin trim of the chemise. After wearing the outfit once, I noticed that these fuzzies started to unravel and the string of sequins has started to unravel as well. So far, it seems that the sequin trim is the only problem area, as I have not had any problems with the lace. On the tags, it is recommended that all three items be dry cleaned. You can get away with carefully hand washing the items as well, but I would not machine wash them because of the delicate quality.


Although I do not own these gloves, I thought that these would be cute to pair with this chemise set.

I will wear this chemise once in a while. The sequins continue to unravel and fall off. This is not an item that will last long.
