I'm 51 years old and weigh approximately 265 pounds. I live in a fairly small, rural farm community in Southwest Texas where we have churches practically on every street corner. Until 3 months ago, I was known to ask my husband if something was immodest because I had a tiny bit (1" or less) of cleavage showing. I was brought up that no one should see anything of your breast area - except maybe your husband. Bikinis were not allowed and bathing suits weren't like they were back in the 1920's with caps and garters and hose and stuff...but close enough.

However, if I was 20-30 years younger (like many of the members on this site) and went clubbing, I would want to wear this out with a pair of leggings and maybe a shrug. Yes, it is a babydoll - but baby - when you wear it - you look like (and feel like) a doll.

While this may not be the best look on me - the fact is that it is so comfortable it makes me FEEL sexy.



What it is … how to wear it
This is basically a babydoll which has pinstripe fabric for cups with a red lacy flowing "skirt". It can be used as a babydoll for sleeping in but I would wear it with leggings because I think it is so pretty and comfortable. If you didn't want to wear it clubbing you could wear it to a friend's place. I suppose you could also combine it with a briefcase and heels, etc. and use it as part of a "Casual Friday" business costume for a party...if you were bold.

Material & Care

Exclusive of trim, this is made of 100% polyester. The tag states that it should be hand washed and hung to dry. I will be washing it in the washing machine with cold water on the delicate cycle while it is in a lingerie bag. I have several pieces of underwear that are lacy like the skirt on this and they do quite well in the washing machine.

Design, Sizing & Fit

According to Coquette, I should wear clothes sizes 18-22 with a 46-50D bra size, 38"-42" waist and 46"-52" hips. Ha! I wear 18/20 tops now with a 44D bra size. My waist is 49" and my hips are 57".

So, I am a bit under the cup size and definitely over the waist and hip size. But I knew from the photos that those sizes would not really matter.

Looking back on my decision, I wish I'd gone down to an XL and today I ordered a couple of flowing items like this from Coquette that are in XL to see if I can go down in some things.

As you look at the length of this item, please remember that my torso length is 18-19".

Comfort

I'm going to start out by saying that I have to wear this when my husband is not around because when he is around, it just does not stay on me. He sees my "boobies" and goes "AHA...PLAYTIME" and has one thing on his mind.

The problem is - IT'S COMFORTABLE and I want to wear it and feel sexy. Not "have sex" but "feel sexy".

So I save it till he's gone to work and then wear it until he comes home.

After a while, the underwire does not feel the most comfortable and I only started wearing underwire items a couple of months ago. However, the cups are padded and pretty comfortable to wear. I'm just still kind of a newbie to underwires.

To say I ADORE this piece is an understatement. I may include in the comments (or edit the review and add it later) a picture of me wearing this with black pants. I think it looks much better when it is worn with something.

My only regret? I should have gone down a size.

Coquette is not my favorite company because they feel like if you have large hips, you must have large boobs too. So something that flows like this has a lot of forgiveness for those big hips and waist - so go by your bra size when you order this.
