Sexy satin bra and garter set - bra, panty and garter belt set discontinued by Coquette - review by Colossus

Let me start out by saying that I'm somewhat new to this whole lingerie-thing. I'm pretty young, and am just now getting to a point in my relationship where me and my girlfriend are comfortable enough in the bedroom to start trying some new things out. That's where the Sexy Satin Bra and Garter set caught my eye.

I wanted something that would really appeal to my specific tastes. And ladies, if you're listening, I'd pay close attention, because my tastes are probably pretty similar to most guys out there. We tend to like shiny things, so I wanted something satin. For some reason, satin and/or metallic fabrics really turn guys on. I'm happy to report that the material used in this set is in perfect alignment for what every guy dreams his wife/girlfriend will wear for him. The satin is fairly soft, and looks great in the light or in the dark. There are also areas that feature lace trim. This lace seems to be of good construction, and I don't worry about it coming apart. I've experienced other lingerie that has some questionable construction, and it feels too flimsy. This isn't the case here. You can rest assured that you can get pretty rough on the wearer without the whole thing falling apart.

The bra cups are lightly padded, nothing too crazy, though. I also enjoyed how the hook and eye enclosure is in front, right between the breasts. It provides an easy way to remove the top when desired. The fact that the bra is underwire/demi cup makes it look classy, and really provides adequate support where needed. I did notice at some points, the bra would lift away from my girlfriend's chest, which may have suggested a less than ideal fit. However, these moments were rare. My favorite part of the set is definitely the included g-string. It's much different than a typical g-string. It has less material than a thong, but still provides enough to look great nestled between two butt cheeks. The garter belt also completes the set nicely, although we would have preferred if stockings came with the set, and the garter clamps weren't plastic. We had to purchase stockings from Victoria's Secret, and it was a little tricky at first figuring how to attach the stockings to the garter belt, but eventually we figured it out. I also would have liked if the straps could be detached... but I guess I can't get everything I want :)

From a maintenance perspective, the tag recommends hand wash only, and that is also what I would recommend. For most lingerie, it seems better to be gentle with it than risk ruining it to save time. This will make sure that the satin/lace material doesn't deteriorate. Overall, this is a GREAT lingerie product, that I know I will have for years and enjoy on many romantic evenings. I would highly recommend this piece, as well as Coquette's other pieces.
