Luxurious bra with garterbelt and g-string - bra, panty and garter belt set discontinued by Coquette - review by Madeira

My partner and I love this lingerie. It's beautiful, comfortable, and very elegant, in a style reminiscent of classic pinup girls.

The set consists of a bra, a garter belt, and a g-string.

The bra is red satin under a sheer layer black mesh, it features an underwire and removable pads, the bra (including the straps) is trimmed with black lace/ruffles (lace for the bra, ruffles on the straps). There's a lovely black satin bow between the cups. It's quite comfortable, and I would say suitable for an A or B cup, up to about a 36 band size. I'm a small 34C and it fits me quite well.

The garter belt is black nylon, with a red satin under black lace mesh panel in front, the front panel is trimmed in black mesh ruffles and the two front garter straps each feature a little black satin bow at their top. The garter belt laces up the back with ribbon, and has metal eyelets, meaning the size is quite adjustable and it's quite sturdy. The garter clips are plastic, and fairly nice, easy to clip, and seem quite sturdy.

The panties are silky black nylon, g-string styled, and quite lovely.

You will want to buy stockings to go with this, as obviously you can't really wear a garter belt with stockings.

The feel of the inside of the set is very silky and it feels absolutely luscious on. My girlfriend loves this set on me, and it does wonderful things for my bust. I would say this set is best suited (at least in the "small" size), to pear shaped women as the bra is distinctly small, when I first got it I was a bit worried about my C cups fitting into it, and it does flatter a smaller bust, and it works nicely on my curvy hips and rear. My girlfriend, who's slim hipped and busty, tried it on, and didn't fit into the bra, and the garter belt doesn't really flatter narrow hips as well as it does broad ones.

I think this is because it's designed to mimic the style of pinups from the 1940s and 50's, which was an era that generally preferred broader hipped women, despite the retro styling of the garter, the bra is a fairly modern style although it does suit the 1950's gestalt.

The red is a lovely dark blue red, that will flatter many skin tones, but particularly those with cooler toned skin.

My only complaints about this set are really that the panties could be a little more embellished to go better with the rest of the set, and that the garter belt it not styled so that it can be worn under the panties (I generally wear my garter belt under my panties so that the panties can be removed without removing the garter belt)

For washing, I would recommend hand washing this set in the sink with a little woolite and then hanging it to dry. Remember to remove the pads from the bra before washing, as although they seem sturdy enough, it's never wise to risk it.

This is extremely well made and has held up beautifully to continued use. I wear this a lot as my girlfriend *loves* this set on me. It's very flattering and does wonderful things for my ass, it's also a wonderful garter that I use just... as a garter pretty darn often, which is a pretty nice feature, as I was only expecting to wear this to match this set, as I wasn't expecting it to be as well made as it is.
