Victorian dreams corset - corset discontinued by Coquette - review by panthercat23

This is a piece that I've looked at many times and couldn't make up my mind about. I was worried about the fit because Coquette pieces tend to run small and I typically order an XL; while the largest this comes in is a large. I've finally decided to order it and I'm glad that I did.

Sure on my 40D chest this is a tight fit, especially since it is only to fit a 38-40C. If my chest was the least bit bigger or the corset was the least bit smaller this would never fit me. So individuals with a large chest be weary about this piece, it may fit you or it might not. Also, I can say that this isn't a piece for short individuals like myself. I'm 5'2" and this comes all the way down over my hips. For me it could be about 6 inches shorter and it would fit quite well in the length.

The cute panties the model is wearing does not come with the corset, neither does the gloves. I don't care about the gloves but it would have been nice for the panties to be included. The bow that is at the top center of the corset can be removed, it is attached with a safety pin. I personally think that it completes the look of the corset.

I found no issues with construction, it seems to be a very solid, well made garment. It is held together by a row of hook and eye closures in the back. There is two sets of closures for sizing. This is the only adjustments in the garment besides the removable straps which can be adjusted like bra straps.

I personally wish this corset came in more sizes and it would be wonderful if it came in more colors. I like it enough that I would buy it in other colors if they were available. This would be a good staple in anyone's collection. It is versatile enough that it can be worn as lingerie or you can pair it with pants and a small jacket to wear out in public. Coquette has another winning piece in their collection.
