What it is … how to wear it

The Boudoir Princess Ruffle Panty is a very pretty set of pink knickers with removable garters. They're comfortable enough to have in your daily rotation, though you'll want to avoid wearing them with tight skirts or trousers as the ruffles across the rear might show.

Material & Care

70% nylon 20% polyester 10% spandex

The tag says gentle machine wash warm, tumble dry low. Personally, because of the rhinestones, I would handwash and hang to dry. If you do wash it in the machine, I strongly recommend a lingerie bag, and not putting it in the dryer at all.

Design

This is one of those rarest of finds - sexy panties that have a crotch and a back! I really dislike wearing thongs, and while crotchless panties are fun, they're never going to be a wardrobe staple.

The front is a solid dark pink spandex fabric - similar to how a bathing suit feels. On either side, about where the inner edge of the hip bone rests, is a line of gathering. This gathering is what causes the draping effect seen on the model photo. I did not get any draping due to them being a bit small on me, and suspect I'd need to go up at least two sizes to see it. There are glued on rhinestones near the gathering, with ten rhinestones on each hip.

The back is a sheer shimmery fabric with little metallic dots. The same fabric is used to make three ruffles across the back. Be aware that the fabric used here is not stretchy at all.

There are four removable garters - two front and two back. There are also two white ribbon hanger loops. I have no idea why. Who hangs up their knickers? These loops got snipped right off, along with the manufacturer and care tags.

On the inside is a small liner panel built in, but it's so small that I can't imagine it being much use.

Quality

Unfortunately, there are some quality issues, though none that detract from wearability. I found several places with loose threads that needed snipping, and a couple of places where the elastic did not meet perfectly.

Sizing & Fit

I am pear-shaped, with a rather large belly and hips compared to my bust.

My measurements:
5'3" height
72 kg weight
40B cups
41" bust
38" waist
44" hips

Because the fabric on the back of the knickers isn't stretchable, these run small. Use the hip measurement from the Fantasy Lingerie sizing guide, but I recommend going up a size. The large was supposed to fit up to 44.5" hips, but these are a bit too snug on me for the best fit.

Modelling the Garment

Outfit

I got these to go with the Wild in Ibiza dress, without being sure if the colour would match. The dress is a lighter shade of pink than the panties, but it is still a pleasing combination. The rhinestones go well with the sparkly accents on the dress. To add to the outfit, I ordered Fantasy Lingerie's Thigh High Stockings with a rhinestone backseam in white. I only need some silver shoes and a sparkly shrug to pull the whole outfit together and complete my Ibiza Princess look!



Comfort and Final Thoughts

These are a bit snug on me, but if I can lose even 2 or 3 inches off my hips by the summer, they should fit nicely when the weather is suitable for my Ibiza Princess outfit. Even with the tight fit, they're still more comfortable than a thong or crotchless panties, and I expect my boyfriend to find the ruffle accents very appealing.

If I was rating this on design only, it would get 5 stars. Unfortunately, I need to deduct a star for the quality issues mentioned above and for not running true to size.
