Overview/Use: This set by Coquette was one of my first lingerie purchases and I have certainly not been disappointed. I've always questioned whether it is sensible to buy lingerie meant just for the bedroom, but now that my boyfriend and I have tried it out we are both fans! This set is affordable and high quality.

Although this set is sexy and perfect for the bedroom It probably would not work under most outfits. Personally I need padding in my bra because of my small 32A cup size and to prevent my nipples from showing through my clothes. Additionally the has quite a few ruffles and a large satin bow that would show through most outfits. You might be able to wear the thong with some thicker pants, but I wouldn't because I prefer a non bulky and smaller panty for outfits.


Material/Design: On the adorable Coquette tag attached to the inside of the bra the materials are listed; 82% Nylon and 18% spandex (exclusive of trim). The fabric is pretty sturdy and won't rip easily since it has a good stretch to it. When I put the bra and panties on for the first time I noticed that they were very comfortable. I didn't find them to be itchy. The trim around the edges of the bra and panty is pink, soft, and satiny. It was a nice addition to keep the edges from digging into any sensitive spots and added an extra cute little aesthetic detail.

There are a few different fabrics that make up this set. Black lace, black mesh, the silky pink trim, thin pink lining, black elastic and the ribbon the bows are made of. I like that behind the black lace there is a pink thin lining. Not only does it make for a higher quality construction that will hold up longer but its pretty and sassy! The black mesh makes up the ruffles, back of the bra, and back strip of the thong. It is subtle and has a nice durable stretch. The satin bows are firmly attached and will not come untied because of how they are sewn on.

Sizing: I purchased the small set and it fits me well. I usually wear a xs/s or a 0/00 and I am a 32A. The straps on the bra are adjustable and I have them as short as they will go to try and create some cleavage. Although there is underwire, if you have a small cup size like me don't expect to look like the model in the picture! The cups are not saggy/too big, they entirely cover my breasts. Both the bra and thong have a good deal of stretch to them, so they should fit individuals well who consider themselves Small, Medium, or Large.

Care: The tag indicates that you should hand wash this set. Since I try to keep all my clothes in great shape I take the washing directions seriously. To hand wash I use warm water and a tiny dab of detergent and gently wash in the sink. Then I hang to dry. Although it sounds like it would make laundry day even more of a hassle, hand washing should only take a few minutes and you will get so much more use out of your purchase! Remember that the delicate cycle on the washing machine just isn't the same as gently washing by hand.

Packaging: My retro bra and panty with ruffle set came with a Coquette tag with a picture of a model wearing the lingerie. I was impressed that the tag was printed on a thick cardboard and was attached to the garment with a thin black satin ribbon and a safety pin. The set was inside the shipping box wrapped in hot pink tissue paper.

I bought this sexy little set as a birthday surprise for my boyfriend. I wore it with leg avenue's black stockings with satin ruffle and bow. I've never dressed up just to have sex and it was actually really exciting. My boyfriend was thrilled and called it the "perfect dick sucking outfit" so I got to work (he was the birthday boy...)!! In a lot of ways I'm like a little girl, I like to dress up! So I felt so sexy and confident in this little get-up. Even afterwards I lounged around in it so my boyfriend could enjoy it some more. I will most definitely be using this set for a long time to come and plan on purchasing some more merchandise for Coquette. They are a great company with classy, high quality items!

I still wear this sexy set since it's subtle and sweet. If you are looking for something that isn't very over the top, this Retro bra and panty set are a great pick. Being well-made and flattering, Coquette hit the nail on the head with this design.
