Satin bra and garterbelt set - bra and panty set discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by Calla

This set includes a bra and a garter belt, so you will need to add some panties and stockings to complete the outfit. If you enjoy lingerie, you'll probably have those at home already. It is made from black satin, which is 98% polyester and 2% spandex. The fabric is soft, and it feels like it is fairly high quality. There are some lines of stitching as an added detail on the bra cups, and the front of the garterbelt, along with scalloped trim around the edges. The trim, clasps, etc., can get a little itchy or uncomfortable after a few hours of wear, so I wouldn't recommend wearing this set throughout the day, but I didn't find it uncomfortable to wear for a shorter period of time.

The bra has underwire, but it isn't padded. It offers a good amount of support, but it won't provide additional cleavage. It has the usual adjustable elastic straps, and a hook and eye closure on the back with multiple settings. The straps are a little unusual, because they split into two to form a small "V" just above where they connect to the cups. The straps are connected with small, plastic rings, and this is where the bra ended up breaking the second time I wore it. The first time I wore this set, I had it on for about an hour, and it made it through a sex session without any damage. The second time, I wore it to work so I could surprise my boyfriend later, but unfortunately the strap broke two hours into my shift, which left me scrounging for a safety pin.


The garter belt has a corset detail, which adds some sex appeal, but is not functional and can't be used to adjust the size. It laces up with satin ribbon, through metal grommets. There are hooks and eyes in the back, which allow for a small amount of adjusting. The garter belt is wider than many, so it won't dig into fleshier hips like thinner belts can. The curved cutout along the back uncovers some extra skin and creates a flattering line. Unlike most garter belts which have 4 garters, this one has 6. The straps are adjustable, and have metal closures covered by satin ribbons. Unlike the bra, you won't have to worry about these straps breaking.

I ordered this set in a size large. It is supposed to fit a size 12-14, C cup, with a 36-38 inch bust, 27-29 inch waist, and 38-40 inch hips. I fit into those measurements, but I usually wear a size 8, so I would ignore the dress sizes and just be sure to meaure yourself before ordering.

I found the bra to be slightly loose on my 34C breasts, which measure 37 inches around at the largest part. There were no huge gaps and it was workable on me, but I think the large would be best for a fuller C or a D cup. The waist measurement isn't important for this set. The garter belt fit well on my 39 inch hips on the smallest set of hooks with no digging in, so the size chart appears accurate when it comes to hip size.

The set should be hand washed to avoid damaging it. I never actually got around to washing mine since it broke the second time I wore it, but I would recommend being very gentle during washing if you are able to wear it long enough to get it dirty.

I plan to continue wearing the garter belt along with another black bra, which will fit me better anyways. I am still very disappointed that the bra from this set broke, since it had a unique style that worked a lot better with the garter belt than anything else in my collection will.
