Red lace babydoll and g-string - babydoll and panties set by Coquette - review by kitty1949

The Holiday red babydoll and g-string from Coquette is a lovely piece from their new Holiday 2013 collection. This babydoll is cute, classy and can be worn any time of the year. It is available in red and black, sizes S-XL. This review is for the red in size XL. My cat would not leave me alone while I took pictures for this review, and is sitting on my lap as I (try to) type this. My apologies for her random ninja appearances in the photos.

The babydoll came packaged on a beautiful black padded Coquette hanger beneath a plastic bag for protection. This is an excellent way to store this garment. It's got a tag attached by a ribbon and safety pin, indicating the product, size and color.



The fabric itself is beautiful. It's a floral mesh/lace pattern with a cute red trim. It is very soft and is not scratchy at all.



It's transparent enough for nosy kitty cats to peek through...



Since the fabric is so delicate, its care information indicates that this garment is to be hand washed only and hung out to dry. It is made of 100% Nylon. Be careful putting this babydoll on and taking it off, since it could be easily ripped.

Here I am in the babydoll. I think it's a beautiful piece, but not flattering on me.



Here is the back. It's got a small keyhole accent in the back, along with 3 adjustable hook and eye closures for the bra portion. (I found that it didn't really make a difference when it came to bust support, but that could just be because I have big tittymeats.)



Ok, here's my only gripe with the babydoll. Which I don't even know is a substantial gripe since it clearly indicates on the size chart that an XL is to fit a D cup. Well, my puppies are DDs, and the cups do not fit. As you can see in the picture below, they don't even come close to fitting. The underwire sits above my breasts, and even if I position my breasts in them, they don't stay put and end up flopping out of the front. If you are a D cup or above, I'd steer clear from this one.



The thong, as usual, matches the garment and is pretty unexciting. It is Coquette's typical Y-back g-string. Instead of a T-shape, the strings come out of the top to give a visually appealing affect, which I feel accentuates curves. Here is a photo of the thong, and a certain someone trying to steal it...

I do like this babydoll, I just wish my boobs fit in it. It's a beautiful garment and will be finding a new home with my sister, whom it should fit. It's hard to go wrong with babydolls, but this one just looked a mess on me.

I was disappointed, but I'm happy I can gift this to someone who will be able to use it. I am still giving the babydoll 4/5 stars because just since it didn't work for me, doesn't mean it won't for everyone else. It's pretty, soft, feminine and the red color makes me feel pretty sultry. I would recommend this to a friend in a heartbeat, as long as they have smaller boobs than I do.

Sadly, I must report that this babydoll never did end up working out for me. Its sizing seemed off, and it totally did not even come close to fitting/flattering me in the bust. It's still sitting in a bag looking for a new home.

I'm sure this would look delightful on smaller body types.
