Wet look top and panty set - camisole set discontinued by Cottelli - review by Dutchess

After reading all the reviews, I was really looking forward to this item, sure it would flatter me. I love, love the sexy, wet-look top, with the lacy body-length, as well as the lace and wet look of the matching panties. However...I was pretty disappointed in the fit, on which most of this review will focus.. I am 5'4", 150 pounds, and broad-hipped. I ordered the size large, following the Cottelli size guidelines.

Camisole Fit: It was just as sexy out of the package as I imagined! The wet-look band on the top is thin enough to show your tight, little, nipple buds, which I knew my hubby would find sexy. While the bandeau-type top fit my 38C/36D breasts perfectly, it simply had no support on the strapless side. This made the right side with strap look great, while the poor left side angled heavily down. With two straps, this top would be nearly perfect. I also would have liked another inch or two of length, for a bit more coverage. (On my shorter 5'4" frame, there was an inch or so gap of skin between the panties and the camisole.) After all, I'm not a tiny thing.

Panty Fit: These were equally as sexy as the camisole, with a band of lace near the top (only across the front, though) and the rest featuring the wet-look. My problem with the bottom was, again, one of fit. The panty needed to be either a thong or have a wider rear to avoid sectioning my cheeks in an unflattering way. Just seeing the product photos, I had been afraid that this would be the case.

Material and Care: The set is 70% Polyester, 10% Spandex, and 20% Polyamide. The wet-look fabric is stretchy, with a nice shimmer to it. The tags say to hand wash with like colors.

I did indeed end up returning this item. I did not exchange, because I feared that a different size would really not fix my problems with it. A larger size may have been adaptable with some sewing skills, but my prowess with needle and thread just isn't up to par!
