Microfiber thong with lace trim - sexy panty discontinued by Baci - review by ~LaUr3n~

After buying two other panties form Baci and not having a horrible experience with either, I've decided they are still worth buying from, although I have found some obvious flaws. This particular panty initially dissapointed me because I didn't think it was as stark white, but after getting over that, I've fallen in love with these snow white panties. Innocent and naughty at the same time...

*Contents/overview: One piece panty

These panties are from Baci. They are a lace bikini thong with see through striped crotch panel. The lace band hugs the hips but can be worn a little higher. They come in S, M, and L, but are not offered on Eden in the S at this time. This particular design runs fairly true to size, but might not fit the highest part of the given range very well.

*Material: Soft and silky

These panties are made of 90% nylon and 10% spandex. The lace is incredibly soft and has alternating flower and leaf pattern. The lace is stretchy, but not as stretchy as I expected. The crotch portion is a mesh with silky white solid stripes. Where there isn't a stripe the fabric is see though. The material feel of decent quality because they are so soft.

*Design/craftsmanship: Pretty good, a few loose ends

These panties are hip-huggers, with thin lace bands. The lace band is much thinner than that of the typical Victoria's Secret lacie thong. Like the other similar style pantie I got from Baci, the thin band is delicate and it looks like it could easily be stretched out if you don't get the right size. It is scalloped only on the edge that is facing up. the bottom edge has a thin solid stripe of white. At first I thought this looked funny, but on it doesn't look weird at all. Because of the scallop the thickness varies from 3/4" to 7/8".

The band when laid flat is a generous 14" across. Also when laid flat the crotch portion is 5 1/2" across which is pretty average and 7" long, which is a little longer than what I prefer, but it is very typical. The crotch portion also has lace trim. There is a decent sized crotch liner in the panty that is made of cotton.

The thong portion is twice as thick and the band lace. It's 1 1/2" thick, which is a little thick for my taste. I'd rather it be thinner. But this allows for a sturdier connection to the band where it is sewn. It's a little sloppy and there are some loose ends, but I easily trimmed them off.

There is a typical small white satin tag in the front of the panties, sewn off to the side. It's long and slender. It shows through the front and unfortunately needs to be removed.

*Cleaning/packaging: Machine wash, cardboard fold

The tag says these can be machine washed with warm colors. Then they can be tumble dried on low, but hanging or laying them out to dry might preserve the elastic lace for longer. The panties comes in a thin cardboard fold with pictures of the model wearing the panties on the outside. It also has a holograph showing it really is an official Baci product. Inside the slender fold the panties are laid flat on a white cardboard piece that is slid into and sealed inside a plastic sleeve.

Designed in Paris, but made in China...

*Sizing: Run fairly true to size for an average large

I usually wear a M in this style of panty but did fine with a L for the most similar style I bought from Baci. I went with the L to be safe, but could have bought the M. The lace is not as restricting as the strange elastic I encountered in the other panty.

According to the US chart, it shows that a woman who weighs 140-160lbs is a large wearing a size 10-14 dress with a 38-40" hip. I fit in the M size measurements, only going over the 140 pounds by a few. I'm a size 8 in jeans and my hips are about 38.5". These are a little big on me. The band slides too easily and doesn't cut in at all. I have plenty of stretch room. I like how large the crotch is too. The see through slits are super sexy and cute!

*Re-done Sizing/Best fit: Their size chart is weird... those pant sizes don't normally have that small of hips or weight.

Dress size: 10-12 (14 will be pushing it if you are outside the hip range)
Hip size: 39-41"
Weight: 150-170 lbs

I added to the hips range, but that's because I don't think most size 14 women are that small in the hip and I am a size 38.5 in the hip but a size 8. Of course I'm not every woman, but I think that is more accurate. The weights listed don't seem accurate either.

The only issue I have with the fit is that the crotch part isn't wide enough for the length so it looks a little small. Meh, not that big of a deal.

I am giving these a 4 stars rating because the tiny flaws don't really affect much, but there is room for improvement. The largest one I found is that the top stripe is not completely straight. You can't even tell unless you look at it really close.



The materials are soft and comfortable and a size L seems to really be a L even though the numbers on their chart don't all jive. They don't look to big on me but I can tell that they are since I have so much stretch and they slide too much. I haven't really figured out my true size in this company's panties yet.

I still like these panties because they have held up well. They look and feel the same as they did the first time I wore them. The elastic isn't fraying.
