Mimi rhinestone pasties - pasties discontinued by Bijoux Indiscrets - review by Breas

The Mimi Rhinestone Pasties by Bijoux Indiscrets is available in the colours silver or black. I purchased the silver pair. The pasties arrived in a thin, cardboard package. The front of the packaging states the product name, company name, and has a gorgeous pattern on it. I find the look of the packaging very classy. The back of the packaging has the same pattern, and states the company website and contact information.



The packaging opens like a card from the bottom. The top flap of the card opens again to reveal the directions for use. They are printed in 10 different languages. The directions are vague but the pasties are very simple to use so lengthy instructions aren’t really necessary. These pasties should not be confused with pasties that cover your nipple. The nipple is not covered when wearing these. They are adornments for your breasts. I purchased them to wear in the bedroom with a nice pair of panties or a lingerie piece.



The pasties sit on a clear plastic card, surrounded by plastic. There are 2 pasties (one for each nipple) and a small pasty in the shape of a circle. The smaller pasty is included to do a spot-test. Doing a spot-test is easy and just makes sure that you don’t have any reactions to the adhesive before using the larger pasties on a more sensitive area. Though I find this rather obvious, it’s important to note that the pasties should not be used on skin that is sun burned, cracked, irritated, or with skin pigmentation problems.

The small circular pasty is a single ring of rhinestone gems with an open centre. The diameter of the open centre is approximately ½ an inch. It should be placed somewhere between your neck and belly button. Leave this pasty on for 6-8 hours to ensure that you do not have any reactions. If you do have a reaction to the pasty, don’t use the larger ones. If you do not have any reaction, you’re ready to use the nipple pasties.

The nipple pasties are sparkly rhinestone gems that sit on a clear netted back. The width and length is the same, at 2 5/8 inches. The gems on the outside of the design are larger (2/8 of an inch diameter) and get smaller as they get closer to the centre. The very centre of the pasty is open. This is where your nipple sits. This opened area has a ¾ inch diameter.



When you’re ready to use the set, clean and dry the area where you will be applying them. Then remove the pasty from the clear plastic sheet that it sits on. The back of the pasty has adhesive on it (like a sticker) so all you need to do is align your nipple with the centre of the pasty. Firmly press the pasty down onto the skin to ensure it’s stuck well, and you’re done!

The pasties can be worn for 6-8 hours at a time, though I only had the pasties on for about half of that. The adhesive is really strong and kept the pasty in place for the few hours that I had them on. When you take them off, you want to remove them slowly and gently. It’s like taking off a band aid- if you rip it off, it will be painful. When I removed the pasties, I didn’t find it to be painful. There is a bit of tug to the skin but nothing I wasn’t able to handle.

Once the pasties were off, there was no adhesive residue left on my skin. These pasties were made as a one-time use product but could be worn again if you have pasty adhesive or a similar item on hand. I have not tried reusing the pasties yet though because I don’t have any pasty glue right now. I assume that trying to reuse them with pasty glue will be a pain in the bum because they are not fullback, but they’re so beautiful that I’ll definitely be trying anyway.

Overall, I love these pasties and my partner loves them on me too. I love the way they look and the adhesive is strong. The only downfall is that they’re made as a one-time use product. The net styled backing is going to make it a lot more difficult to reuse the pasties and I am not 100% sure if it will actually work since I have yet to do this. I’ve given these pasties a 5 out of 5 because even if they can only be used once, they’re totally worth the splurge.

Sadly, these pasties are only good for one time use (for me). I still really like them though, even though I can't get a few wears out of them. They're really pretty and on sale right now. I may just have to get a few more pairs!
