A babydoll is basically a piece of lingerie closely resembling a tank top. It may hit somewhere between the top of the thighs to mid-thigh and normally comes with a pair of underwear. It could also be a short nightgown that could be worn without the panty, which is called a chemise. There are many variations of the babydoll. This particular babydoll is designed to be worn in the bedroom alone.

Packaging

The mesh babydoll and g-string came on a plastic Coquette hanger inside of a plastic bag.


Material and Care

The babydoll is made of 82% nylon and 18% spandex. This lingerie is to be hand washed only. It should then be line dried.


Design, Sizing and Fit

According to the Coquette sizing chart the 1X/2X that I purchased should fit a person who wears between an 18-22 in clothing. Their cup size should be D and the bust ranging from 46-50. The waist should measure between 38-42 and hips 46-52. Normally this would be too big for me since the size I am would seem to be the XL if you are following the Coquette chart. I have noticed however that Coquette lingerie tends to run small on me. My measurements are 42-44 D breasts, 36" waist, hips unknown and I am 5'6 1/2" tall.



Specific Measurements

From the bow between the breast cups to the front hem measures 21" long. On the back from the hook/eye bra closure to the hem measures 17" long. I don't know why this would be shorter in the back than in the front but it was. From one end of the bust to the other measures 15" across. The straps are adjustable. The straps measures from 9" to 16" long. The thong measures 6" across on the front and less than an inch across on the back. There is no panty liner present. There is lace trim across the breast cups and across the waist area of the thong. Lying flat the thong measures 16" across when it wasn't stretched and 26" across when it was stretched.

Comfort and Final thoughts

I found that the babydoll was actually very comfortable to wear. That being said even though it looks like it would have a good deal of support, it doesn't. The sides of the top where it fit at my underarm were slightly loose, which caused it to flare out a little. I found that the bottoms of my breasts tended to slip under the underwire, unless I kept adjusting it. I wasn't even going to try the thong, because I like a little more substance to my panties. Since this is an item that once I put it on, I am not expecting to wear it the entire day, these things wouldn't cause me not to buy this item. If my breasts were smaller and the bottom of this wasn't see-through I might even consider pairing this with a nice pair of black jeans to go out on the town.
