The One-Piece Wonder

The Come Hither Romper by DreamGirl is an excellent lingerie piece. I'm an XL female and tend to avoid outfits like this because they usually have too narrow of a crotch and g-string style back. The boyshort style bottom to this romper is lovely! I'm very happy with the way it looks on me! The outfit is comfortable and a good price. Whether you're new to this style outfit or not, I'd definitely recommend it!

extremely useful review
The Come Hither Romper by DreamGirl is available in sizes S-XL. I had purchased the size XL. The outfit arrived on a black hanger and in a plastic bag. There was no text or images on the surrounding bag. There were two cardboard tags attached to the romper. The one tag had an image of a model wearing the outfit and stated the company name, product colour, size, and company website. The other tag states the material composition and company contact information. The included hanger could be used for storage or it can be folded and put in a drawer.

The outfit is made of mesh and lace. The mesh is the pink material at the centre of the romper. The mesh is 92% nylon and 8% spandex. It is very stretchy and sheer. The lace is also very stretchy and sheer. It is 90% nylon and 10% spandex. The lace is black with pink accents. The pattern is floral and leafs. You’ll probably want to remove the tags that state the material composition and care instructions from the back of the romper. The white tags show through the black lace.

I’ve taken a few measurements of the outfit laying flat, not stretched. There are a couple measurements of the outfit stretched and I’ve labelled them so you know the difference. If you need any other measurements send me a message, as I’d be happy to get them for you.

Romper length (from beneath the shoulder strap to side bottom of shorts): 18 inches
Width at bottom of romper: 19 ½ inches
Width at bottom of romper, stretched as much as I could: 31 inches
Width beneath pink mesh: 13 ½ inches
Width beneath pink mesh, stretched as much as I could: 24 inches
Chest (corner of lace material to other corner): 20 inches

The outfit is just one piece. The top front of the romper is “V” cut. The top area of the romper (lace part) measures 7 ¼ inches in length, down the centre front. The pink mesh that sits at the centre of the outfit is also in the shape of a “V”. It has a length of 2 ½ inches down the centre front. The bottom of the romper is in the style of boyshorts. The length, down the side of this lace area, is 7 inches. That’s what I actually really liked about this outfit when I had first seen it. I like the look of one-piece outfits but they usually have a g-string back and a really narrow crotch area. I’m not a fan of that style bottom.

There is a vertical seam line that runs down the centre of the outfit. The seam lines are only on the lace of the outfit- not the mesh. The seam line runs vertically down the back of the romper as well (where your bum crack is). There is no padding or underwire in the chest area and there is a diamond shaped liner in the crotch of the romper. It measures 3 ¾ inches in length and just less than 3 inches wide.

The shoulder straps criss-cross at the centre back. The straps are not detachable but they are adjustable in length. At their longest, they measure 21 ½ inches and at their shortest, the measure 11 ¼ inches. The straps begin at the front of the outfit, right above the chest area, and end on the corners of the chest area. It’s easier to understand what I’m talking about with a photo so I’ve included one below.

DreamGirl’s size chart states that the size XL is best suited for those with a cup size of D/E, a hip measurement of 40-42 inches, and a weight between 160-180lbs. I wear a C38 bra, my hips measure 41 ½ inches, and my weight was in the high 160’s the last time I checked. Also, my height is 5’6”. The one thing I’ve found with DreamGirl outfits, from past experience, is that they recommend a cup size of D/E but my C cups are never too small for their outfits. In fact, there have been a few outfits from this company where my chest seemed too large for the cups. Another thing, from past experience, is that their length doesn’t work as perfectly for someone of my height.

All that being said, my biggest concern was that the length of this outfit would be too short for me and I’d end up with a front-wedgie when I wore it. I’m very happy to say that this in NOT the case with the Come Hither Romper. You may have an issue with front wedgies if you’re a bit taller than me, but if you’re 5’6” or lower, you won’t have that problem.

Since this outfit doesn’t have cups to it, my chest fit fine. The material is really stretchy so a D or E cup would probably fit as well. The romper wasn’t too tight on my body and I didn’t experience any sort of muffin top. The romper was most comfortable on me with the length of the straps adjusted so that they were the longest length possible. The bottom of the romper fit me nicely as well. I have very thick thighs and a larger bum. The bottom back of the romper fell just above the bottom of my bum cheeks and the width of each leg hole worked with my thighs. Since the outfit is not crotchless, you’ll want to remove the outfit before intercourse or you’ll have to constantly be holding the crotch area to the side.

The romper is comfortable. I didn’t experience any skin irritation while wearing the outfit. I’m usually picky when it comes to lace outfits against my nipples because I find that some lace can be course and rub them the wrong way. That’s not the case with this outfit. I mentioned earlier that you’ll want to cut out the white tags from the outfit but you may also want to cut out the loops of lace that are used to hang the outfit on a hanger. These loops are freakishly long (13 inches) and dangle out the bottom of the outfit when you’re wearing it. The care tag states that the outfit should be hand washed in cold water and line dried.

Overall, I’m very happy with this romper! It fits me nicely and is comfortable. I really took a chance when I ordered this outfit because I wasn’t sure if this style would look good on my XL body. I’m very happy with the way it looks and I’d definitely recommend it to others.
