Strappy lace teddy - teddy discontinued by Rene Rofe - review by SassySam

Basics: This is a one piece teddy by Rene Rofe. It’s definitely what I would consider a bedroom piece, although I could see someone pulling this one out for a play party.





Design:
The design is what really caught my eye for this one. It’s basically a bikini with three bottom straps, and a thin piece of material connecting the top and bottom. This is when I’m glad I can add pictures, because I’m sure I’m not describing it properly.







The first thing I thought when I saw this piece was that it looked like some kind of Gothic/vampire outfit. I think with some dramatic makeup and heels, this could make a great role playing outfit, if you’re into that kind of thing.

All of the material is a striking, sheer, red and black lace. The material is see through close up, but hides enough to still be alluring.

There is support to the bra cups but the neck ties are uncomfortable to wear for more than 10 minutes. Now I wouldn't say you need to have small breasts or implants to pull this one off, but the bigger your breasts are the more the neck strap will dig in. Depending on how you intend to use this piece you might not need more than 10 minutes in it anyway.

While I would have preferred more traditional adjustable straps, something a little sturdier, the ties do allow you to customize the height of the bust and the width of the waist to accommodate a variety of sizes. They also make one thing easier, getting it off, just two pulls and you're ready for action.

Sizing:
My measurements are 38/30/40, which puts me in the Medium to Large category for most companies. I picked ML, and I’m glad I’m not any bigger, because I don’t know what I’d do with my boobs. The ML size does fit my breasts, but just barely, so I really wouldn’t recommend this to anyone with a bust over 40.
The bottom of the piece fit comfortably and it think would accommodate a larger size.

Material and Care:
On the packaging it indicated that the teddy should be hand washed and hung to dry. Also it shouldn’t be bleached or dry cleaned.

The material is good quality, I couldn’t find any loose threads or flaws. It’s also surprisingly comfortable, I wore it for about two hours the first time and there wasn’t any chafing from the lace, although the neck ties did cut in.
