Satin Santa apron dress - costume discontinued by Coquette - review by Trashley

I'm going to try to keep this short and sweet, as I tend to ramble, but it essence, this is a lovely little product. It looks exactly like the photographs, and I mean exactly. The trim is fluffy as can be, the lace is dainty and sweet, and the red crushed velvety fabric is as soft as can be.

The cups don't provide much support, but I wore this over a bra and skintight little black dress to a party with long black gloves and heels, so my boobs stayed in place fairly well. You should be fine without a bra as well, but I know from experience that if you're on the larger side, they tend to do the "cup slip." This is when the cup ends on your boob, and it looks kinda funky.. I've never encountered an interested male or female that that didn't actually just entice more, though!

It's totally easy to get it on in this little outfit, but I'd suggest doggy style since the back is completely open. It can be a hassle to keep flipping up the front part. I wouldn't recommend washing this, though. Obviously it has some tender fluffy parts that would shed a good sized fur ball in your washing machine. I'd say that it's good to try to spot clean or get professionally cleaned. This outfit is just too cute to let die a furry death!

The one thing I was almost ALMOST disappointed with was the buckle in front. It's made of cardboard, so if it flips over, it's all brown and ugly. I mean, at such a great price, it's hard to complain, but I would've hoped they would at least paint both sides of the thing.

The sizing's pretty great. One of my housemates who's 5'7" and a rugby player initially complained that it was too small for her to wear, but once I urged her on to try it, it fit pretty well! The snaps in the back are just like a bra, with three settings to adjust. The only thing I would worry about if you're a bit bigger, but not plus size, is that the black ribbon part might become a bit too short. My housemate had some trouble tying it on her own, so I got the ends and knotted it. The bow wasn't as big as it was on me, but it sufficed. This is a really cute outfit, guys. Buy it in spring, and wear it next Christmas! Wear it in July for a "Christmas in July" party. It's really just too cute to pass up.
