Ya? Well Flock You Too!

This set has an awkward fit, and the top and bottom like to get tangled up in themselves. However there are good points too, the panties have a crotch liner, the cups on the top have privacy panels, and the straps on the top are adjustable. This set wouldn't be the first set I would recommend, but I can think of much worse ones out there.

extremely useful review
I've got somewhat of an obsession with all things flocked. I stop and take pictures of everything I see out in stores. For those of you who are unsure what exactly "flocking" is, basically an item that is "flocked" will have a solid background of whatever, with a raised pattern made out of velvet or a velvet like material. Very popular on wallpaper in the 70's.

So I'll start with the packaging. When I received it, I thought it was a bit overkill. A box AND wrapped in pink paper. Cute, but still. The front of the box features a model wearing the outfit, the back features a smaller picture of the same model from the back. You also get a summary of the contents, the sizes available, what size you received, and also Coquette's address and website.

I received a size small. From Coquette that means that I should be a size 4-6 with a B cup, 34-36" bust, 26-28" waist, and 36-38" hips. Personally I'm about 5'2, I weigh about 105, around my bust measures about 31" and underneath measures about 28 1/2". I've got about a 25" waist with 33" hips and I wear a B cup. No matter how I adjusted everything seemed just a little bit off, but not horribly.

For other sizes available in this set, Coquette has the following measurements listed:

Medium: size 8-10, B cup, 38-38" bust, 26-30" waist, and 38-40" hips
Large: size 12-14, C cup, 38-30" bust, 30-32" waist, and 40-43" hips

While this set does have a little bit of give to it, if you fall squarely between sizes I might advise against purchasing this set.

The top is basically like a bra with half a shirt attached. When laid flat I got the following measurements:
- Bottom to top of back: just over 8"
- Bottom to where top of cup meets strap: just over 12"
- Across the bottom: laid flat measures about 18" but stretches up to 24"
- Across the top from strap to strap along the top of the cups: about 14", no real stretch
- Each cup measures about 6" across and 5" down at the strap line
- The straps are adjustable as well and at their shortest measure about 9" and at the longest measure just over 19"

The cups meet in the middle at a small bow in the same shade of red as the rest of the lace. Hanging from the bow is the signature set of Coquette lips. A majority of the top is a see through lace, however the cups are not see through. Which is really nice for those of us who might feel a little odd about baring it all. The entire thing is made from a sheer red lace with small hollow velvet like hearts all over the place. The cups simply have a lining on the inside. The underwire does offer support for those with large enough breasts to need it.

The panties have a crotch liner! Thank you Coquette! They are also made from the same red see through lace with hearts as the top, which unfortunately makes them very flimsy. Don't get me wrong, it's all well made, just trying to get them to not get tangled up in themselves is pretty difficult. When laid flat they measure 12" across the top, and stretch up to 17". There's a seam that rums vertical down the middle of the panties. At the top there's the same bow that the top has. From that bow to the seam in the middle of the crotch is 7" but stretches up to 9". Each leg opening is about 10" but will easily stretch up to 16".

The whole set feels very well made, doesn't feel remotely like it's going to fall apart at the seams. Which is really good because while putting it on and taking it off it feels very flimsy, like it's not going to cover anything, which I guess makes sense, because it is made mostly of a sheer lace.

The box doesn't list any washing instructions, and while the panties do have a tag, that tag is merely to indicate size. So make sure to refer back to the tag Coquette provided on the top. It tells you that your set is 82% Nylon and 18% Spandex, exclusive of trim (I'm not entirely sure what that means), and you should hand wash. There are no instructions for drying, but I would play it safe and allow to either drip dry, or lay them flat on a towel to dry.

For storage, you can keep yours anywhere you keep lingerie or other delicates. Personally I keep mine in a ziploc bag in a box with all the rest of my lingerie.
Experience
I'm still trying to decide whether or not I actually like this set. I know I don't hate it, but I definitely don't love it. I wore it out underneath my clothing and I always felt like something was out of place and I had to fix it, but every time I went to adjust it, it wasn't actually out of place. I had this problem most with the underwire.

The lace is sexy, but doesn't provide much of a feeling of something being there, which while it bothers me some, isn't detrimental to the product itself. I'm just weird like that. I did have a problem with how open the lace underneath the cups was. I wasn't aware how much it was supposed to "flop around" I guess you could say. It fell very open in the back in a way that I'm not entirely sure how to describe, but I've included a picture to try and show you what I'm talking about.

The panties having a crotch liner was amazing. I loved knowing that if I had a little bit of discharge it wouldn't go right through to my pants. And I guess I just don't like the tanga short style, because I just wasn't digging these that much. I really don't like picking my underwear out of my buttcrack all night. I would wear them again, but they're definitely not high on the list.

For the quality of the fabric and the craftsmanship I would rate this around 4 stars, but it falling so awkwardly and constantly getting tangled up in itself knocks the rating back down to 3.

If there are any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Follow-up commentary
Honestly, I haven't worn this since I first reviewed it. The fact that it never thrilled me at all to begin with + coupled by the fact that I now have more sets that do = I'll be passing this on. It's held up well to storage just fine.
