A Case of Clit Apathy

While the Clit Exciter is a great warm-up for the clitoris, it just doesn't get the job done by itself. My clitoris was neither impressed nor totally disappointed with this toy; it was just a case of clit apathy. However, if the vibrations were more focused into the clitoral encaser of this toy, I feel that it would have been a perfect 5 stars.

extremely useful review
I've decided it would be fun to do my review on the Clit Exciter by addressing the five senses. Here we go!

1. See:

The packaging is a plastic clamshell. It says "Clit Exciter" on the front, and it also has a woman in lingerie portrayed. This packaging is not the least bit discreet.

The Exciter is blue with glitter flecks within (you cannot feel them on the surface). At the end of the Exciter, there is a spoon-like section, which is referred to as the "encaser" with "love dots" within for stimulation. There is a silver ring at the end of the head of the toy. There is a twist dial at the base, and there is a battery compartment that slides out for the insertion of two AAA batteries (not included).

The Exciter is 7 and 1/2 inches long with a 2 and a 1/2 inch circumference. It is made from plastic, and this is an 8 on the safety scale because it is non-porous.

This is also labeled as waterproof on the packaging, and I found it to be capable of withstanding submersion without any water damage.

There is a battery insertion manual included, but I think that the compartment is self-explanatory with + and - signs.

2. Smell:

There is no plastic smell to this. There is actually no scent at all, even from the packaging.

3. Taste:

This item has no taste and will be unlikely to come into contact with your mouth anyway.

4. Hear:

The Clit Exciter is rather loud. On the lightest vibration setting, it can be heard through the covers. On the highest setting, it can easily be heard through a door. This is especially important if you plan on taking it into a shower with you since it is likely to sound even louder (great shower acoustics) and can be heard over running water.

5. Feel:

The vibrations on this Exciter are not focused in the top, so I notice that the vibrations do lose some power while traveling through the entire toy. For this reason, I would say on the highest vibration setting, I would only give this exciter 3 vrooms. This may not be enough for some more advanced players.

The settings are a twist dial that increases the power of the vibration, but there is only one type of vibration (no variations of pulses or anything like that).

I didn't notice any additional stimulation from the love dots, or if I placed this exciter on my nipples.

Overall, I couldn't orgasm from the Clit Exciter alone, but it would be great for foreplay or to switch to during oral sex if your partner's tongue gets tired easily.

*Some additional notes*

The Clit Exciter really isn't meant for insertion.

There is no flared base if you decide to insert it.

This can be cleaned with antibacterial soap and water or with rubbing alcohol.

Water, oil, or silicone lubricant can be used with this toy.
Experience
This Exciter is meant to be held upside down, but I found that if I held it right-side-up, I enjoyed it more. The vibrations weren't focused on my clitoris anyway, so this offered additional stimulation throughout my girly bits.

I submerged this Exciter for about two or three minutes, and water did not appear in the battery compartment or elsewhere inside, so it is actually waterproof.
Follow-up commentary
The clit exciter isn't spectacular on its own, but I've started using it with other toys (such as the Anal-T). Granted, I have my hands full, but a combination of stimulation leaves me much more satisfied. In addition, I have clitoral stimulating gel, which I received as a gift awhile back. The gel definitely makes a difference if you can find one that works for you and is compatible with the exciter as well. With this toy, it's really about finding what variation works for you...the exciter will not just jump out at you and give you a fantastic O.

Sounds like it would be fun for foreplay, but may want something a little stronger. Thought the 5 senses review idea was super cute!
