The Original Butterfly Kiss by California Exotics is best used as a dual stimulating vibrator; vaginal and clitoral stimulation specifically. It is not recommended to use this toy anally or share it with anyone unless it is covered with a condom because it is somewhat porous. This toy is designed to vibrate on the clitoris while also hitting the g-spot internally for maximum pleasure but it may not work as intended for everyone.

The Butterfly Kiss is on the small side so it is great for beginners but size queens will be disappointed. Since it is small and not intimidating this would be a great toy for a couple new to incorporating toys in the bedroom. You could also use this during a solo session to tease and possibly please yourself.

This toy is totally waterproof making it a great toy to take in the bath or shower for those who enjoy that kind of play. Being waterproof also makes this toy really easy to clean which is always a plus to many.

The Butterfly Kiss is made from TPR which is less porous than Cyberskin but more porous than silicone. It has a safety rating of 7/10 on Eden's material safety scale and is latex- and phthalates-free and hypoallergenic. TPR is typically a slightly sticky, smooth and squishy material almost like jelly but it really does not have an odor upon opening the box. This particular toy is mostly smooth with the exception of the hearts around the bottom half and the butterfly clitoral stimulator.

TPR is very grabby on skin so you will need to use some silicone or water based lubricant to help things glide around smoothly. Since TPR is very grabby it also tends to be a huge lint, hair and dust magnet so always keep it covered and wash thoroughly before and after each use.

This toy is available in three different colors: Pink, Purple and Blue.

The Butterfly Kiss is 7 1/2" in total length but only about 3" of that is insertable. It also has a circumference of 3 3/4" and the diameter is 1 1/8".

Starting at the hard plastic handle end where the battery compartment is located is where the TPR material begins. It goes up the toy with hearts all around the shaft until you reach the bottom of the curved butterfly and insertable section of the shaft. The insertable shaft protrudes farther than the butterfly and it finishes off in a somewhat pointed bulb end. The butterfly looks exactly like it should with two wings, two antenna and a ribbed body. While the bulb end is inserted the butterfly will rest against the clitoris and the antenna should wiggle with the vibrations along with the wings.

There are no gaps in the Butterfly Kiss but there is a visible seam running the entire length of the TPR material from the bulb end down the shaft. It cannot be felt during use and it does not affect its use in any way.

This clitoral and g-spot toy has a simplistic control area; one button turns it on/off and cycles through the three levels of vibration intensity. Push the button once to turn it on and it's at a steady low vibration. The second press of the button will bring you to a steady medium vibration and a third press of the button will bring you to a steady high vibration intensity. Push the button a fourth time and the toy will turn off. The control button is not lockable for travel so it is recommended to remove the batteries for a hassle free travel experience.

The Butterfly Kiss runs on two AAA batteries that are easily inserted in the battery compartment by unscrewing the plastic end cap and sliding them in; screw the cap back on and you're good to go.

This toy is actually surprisingly powerful and quiet when on high for something that runs on batteries. This will not be heard through a closed door at all and probably not even through blankets so dorm use is definitely a possibility with this one.

This toy is so easy to care for, just wash it with warm water and antibacterial soap or toy cleaner paying special attention to the butterfly area. Do NOT boil this toy or toss it in the dishwasher, you'll ruin the motor inside it.

The Butterfly Kiss did not come with a storage pouch but putting this in something is definitely recommended to keep hair, lint and dust from collecting on it and also so it does not touch other toys. You could use its packaging as storage or you could purchase or make a storage pouch for it.

This arrived in a plastic bag inside a white paperboard box with purple butterflies and pink plants on the front along with a picture of the toy, the name of it and the California Exotics logo. The back of the box gives you a list of key points about the toy in five different languages along with some symbols on the bottom like how many and what kind of batteries it takes.

The packaging is okay for short term storage but is not discreet at all and should definitely be wrapped if you're gifting it to someone else; it should also be recycled when empty.

There were only battery installation instructions included, no warranties or other booklets.

I wasn't exactly excited to try this out but it was something different that I've never tried before and I was happy enough to give it a whirl for a review.

As soon as I got this out of the packaging I had to put batteries in it and turn it on. On low it wasn't anything special, on medium it wasn't bad but still kind of lacking for me but on high it was perfect. So I grabbed my favorite lubricant and put a little on the insertable end.

Honestly I was expecting it to be better than it was but to be fair this toy is quite powerful and quiet for something so small that runs on batteries. I'm not too keen on the material either but that's only my personal preference so others may enjoy it well enough. I do have to say that I love the color of this toy, the blue is so darn vibrant and nice to look at.
