Symphony G-harmony - g-spot vibrator discontinued by Evolved Novelties - review by Sunshineamine

The Symphony G Harmony is intended as a G spot vibe, but also it is wonderful for nipple teasing and clit stimulation. It is not for anal use due to the fact that it is made of a porous material and lacks a flared base. I used this toy several times on my own; using it for clit stimulation at first for a warm up, but then for g spot stimulation and thrusting too. I also used it with my man in foreplay and for clit stimulation during intercourse. It works well for solo and couples play. This vibe would work well for beginners, advanced users who do not need texture and anyone who is okay with using a TPR toy. Since it is waterproof it can be used in the shower too.

The Harmony is made of TPR which Eden describes as a rubber polymer blend that is somewhat porous. Because this toy is porous, if you are sharing this toy, a toy cover or a condom should be used. It is pretty flexible and does have a jelly feel to it. It is also slightly "tacky" which provides a good bit of drag, so lube is definitely necessary for insertion; though the drag does provide for some solid clit stimulation. When I first opened the box I was instantly hit with a strong chemical odor that reminded me of drywall/industrial strength adhesive. I washed it instantly and the smell did dissipate somewhat, though it still has an odor even after five uses and ten washes (before and after each use). I did not taste this and wouldn't due to the fact that it did have such a strong odor. There are several grooves along the backside of the shaft that go along with the curve. I was hoping to feel some of this texture, but I couldn't tell a difference while using this toy internally. This material would be good for beginners or advanced users who do not mind TPR, like a flexible toy and that do not need texture.

FLEXIBILITY

I feel that the Harmony was designed very well. It is a translucent vibe that allows the motor and battery case to be seen through it. The base is made of plastic and bells out slightly which makes it relatively easy to hold on to. Both my partner and I, with lubed hands, do not have trouble holding on to the base of this vibe. The shaft is a flexible yet firm 6" of insertable length that ends in a curved tip that makes it wonderful for g spot stimulation. While I can not get off on g spot stimulation alone, the design does provide a decent amount of pressure to my g spot and found it easily. The diameter is 1 3/8" which is not too slender, but not overwhelming either. It provides a good full feeling while thrusting, but does not feel as though it is stretching my vagina to the max. This size would be okay for a beginner as long as they take their time with insertion and would be good for a more experienced user too because it is definitely not mini and does have a lovely curved tip for g spotting. This toy is not the best for travel because it is larger and has a simple push button that turns it on; so if you forgot to take the batteries out it would likely get turned on in your luggage. It is not discreet either as it is obviously a vibrating dildo.

MOTOR VISIBLE THROUGH MATERIAL

The G Harmony is very basic. It has the curved tip as mentioned before that makes it ideal for g spot stimulation. The motor is located in the g spot tip and provides pretty localized vibration which makes this toy ideal for clit stimulation as well. There are three vibration speeds/intensities that are controlled with one button on the very bottom of the vibe. Push button once for on to the weakest vibration which is actually a medium vibration. Push it again for a more intense vibration. Push the button a third time and you're at the third and final vibration setting which is pretty intense and very satisfying. Though if using on the clit for an extended period of time I could see this becoming clit numbing, though it has not happened to me yet. The last push of the button turns the vibe off. The button is very easy to push so it is definitely a good idea to take the batteries out when storing.

The vibrations are very rumbly which I love, but it's a bit on the loud side and is definitely not a whisper quiet toy like the box boasts. It is not the worst either, but it could be heard outside a door if all was quiet. The button is in a location that is sensible because it is not in the way and does not get bumped during use changing the vibration setting or turning the vibe off. This vibe is waterproof and does well in the shower. I mainly like having a waterproof toy for ease of cleaning, but decided to take this one in the shower to be able to fairly assess how well it holds up as a waterproof toy. After a solid twenty minutes of usage in the shower and washing after I dried the vibe and opened the battery compartment, there was absolutely no water that sneaked its way in. Solidly waterproof, but I would not submerge this toy though, personally. The battery compartment starts at the plastic base and is rather unique. The compartment is threaded well with an O-ring to keep water out. It also has a sort of cartridge for the battery that comes out, batteries get loaded and the cartridge gets loaded into the vibe so that the batteries are actually in the shaft. I like this as I feel it adds to how waterproof this vibe is. This vibe takes two AA batteries and it is still going strong after five uses, but with only five uses I can not say yet if it is a battery suck or not.

BATTERY COMPARTMENT AND CARTRIDGE

This toy is relatively easy to care for. To clean it, I wash it in the sink with a mild soap and warm water and before use I typically use a toy wipe. This toy can be a potential lint magnet; though it is not as bad as others that I own. I store mine in the tin it came in. I make sure this does not touch any of my other toys, as it should probably not be stored in direct contact with other toys of similar materials. A water based or silicone based lube can be used on this toy. Since it is porous it can not be sterilized, I just wash it very thoroughly.

Like many other Evolved novelties toys this vibe came in a tin that works well for storage. I adore this tin. It comes with a thick layer of foam inside of the tin that the vibe rests in, but I removed mine and tossed it. I do use the tin for storage and when the foam is removed the tin is pretty roomy so I store two other toys in there with it (I do have each toy wrapped in tissue paper so that they do no touch). The tin is very pretty and has some writing on the back concerning the product, usage and that this toy is sold as novelty only, etc. The front says the name of the vibe and has a clear plastic window in the shape of the vibe. It has a type of "snap" on either side that keeps the lid on firmly. It is made pretty well and is intended for storage and would make a lovely gift.
