Beautiful but weak

The Lovemoiselle Cecile is a lovely toy that is quite aesthetically pleasing. However, I can't say that I find it particularly functional. Unless you are a fan of very weak vibration, you'll find yourself left hanging by this toy.

Use

The Lovemoiselle Cecile is a traditional vibrator that can be used for clitoral stimulation or vaginal insertion. It is not suitable for anal play because it does not have a flared base. The toy is not curved in a way that is designed to provide G-spot stimulation. This toy can be used by anyone and is simple to operate but would be best for those that prefer weaker vibration.

Material / Texture

The thing that makes the Cecile special is that it is made out of ceramic. This is a unique material because it is slick and hard but holds temperature in slightly different ways than glass or metal toys to. It is compatible with any kind of lubricant you would like to use. The toy has no discernible taste or smell. The slick texture is nice and does not have very much drag. With lube it is a slippery ride, indeed.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

The Cecile is a lovely toy. Indeed, that is probably one of its biggest selling points. There are some slight curves and ridges in the mostly straight shaft. The ceramic is also glazed with an image of a beautiful flower. It is a very pretty toy to look at and that is quite important for some people. I think that classiness of the design would make it quite suitable for gift giving.

The size is relatively girthy and always remember that when using rigid toys without any give the size will seem more significant. I found penetration with this toy to be quite satisfying.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Cecile only has one basic control, a push button in the base of the toy. You can use this button to cycle through the functions and intensity options. The vibrations patterns are mostly unremarkable. There is a chance they would be more interesting with a more intense toy.

That is where we get to the biggest downfall of the Cecile. It is WEAK. This runs on two AAA batteries that are inserted all the way in the base of the toy. The vibration, even on the highest setting, is almost indiscernible at the tip or even through the top half of the shaft. For such an expensive toy this is a pretty big oversight and failure of engineering.
    • Discreet sound
    • Multiple settings
    • Weak

Care and Maintenance

The Cecile comes with some detailed care instructions included in the box, which I really appreciated. It is compatible with all types of lubes. It can be cleaned with soap and warm water and it is entirely non-porous. You can disinfect this toy with a 10% bleach solution.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The Cecile is nicely packaged in a black box with a window. It is a pretty slim packaging design so it would work well for storage. However, the toy also came with a velvet slipcase. You'll also find a useful instruction booklet/catalog included in the box. One thing that does not come with this toy is batteries. I found that mildly annoying and disappointing considering the price point and luxury market that Lovemoiselle is trying to appeal to. When other similar toys are rechargeable, you should probably at least toss a set of batteries in the box.
    • Good for storage
    • Minimal
    • Very informative

Personal comments

I really wanted a ceramic toy and now I can say that I have one. However, there isn't really enough that is special about this toy to make me reach for it often or want to buy other products from the manufacturer.
