Big, Beautiful, and Suits Her Name

The Nexus Chloe could be all that and a bag of chips if just a little more thought was put into how it was made. All in all, though, it is a fun, powerful, and pretty, traditional vibrator with a very nice size and diverse functionality with some really good patterns and deep vibrations.

Use

The Nexus Chloe is a girthy, powerful, multi-functional, traditional vibrator with dual motors, and can be used for regular vaginal stimulation, g-spot stimulation, and stimulation of the clitoris and vulva.

It's a good toy for those who like something bigger in size, particularly those who like a wider toy horizontally, and it would be a fun toy for couples to play with as well, considering its wild multiple functions and patterns along with its gracefully and easily insertable, silky smooth silicone material.

It doesn't go without a few cons, such as the cover to the charging port and being a bit rattly, but all in all it's a fun and interesting toy with a good large size that packs a good punch with its power.

Material / Texture

Chloe has no texture to it other than the fact it is made of a beautifully soft and silky silicone material that has a little bit of drag to it, and although it's not as buttery, velvety soft as the silicone some other toys are made of, such as the Lelo toys, it has an elegantly smooth, silky feel of its own that's just fun to run your hands up and down and provides less drag than the silicone of a Lelo toy.

I'd say it's a great texture for beginners and advanced users alike, but particularly great for beginners with the way it so easily glides along the skin with just the right amount of drag that's very subtle.

It has no flexibility whatsoever, except for just a slight amount of give in the head of the shaft, though not enough to bend.

It doesn't have an unpleasant smell, but I can't say it is completely odorless. It actually has a pleasing, almost fruity and floral scent to it; something between an extremely subtle hint of rubbery plastic combined with grape and wildflowers. Pretty interesting considering I've never picked up that scent off a toy before, and you have to put your nose right to it to pick up on it.

Design / Shape / Size

Even though Chloe is a traditional vibrator, if you hold it upright you'll notice it does have a very slight curve to it and gets thicker as it tapers towards the top, so you could pull off using this toy for G-spot stimulation depending on your anatomy. I could feel it hit mine holding it at just the right angle.

The insertable end is 8 inches in total length with 5 inches insertable length, around 1 1/2 inches in diameter at its widest point, and about 5 1/2 inches in circumference at its thickest point.

The other end of Chloe is more complexly shaped and good for contouring to the clitoris and vulva and is about 2 3/4 in length and 1 3/4 at its widest point.

The size definitely caters more to advanced users who like a good amount of girth, but like I mentioned earlier, it's so easily insertable, that with a bit of lube, a beginner should be able to do just fine with it as well. Unless the user simply finds any large toy too uncomfortable for their liking. In that case I would steer clear of the Chloe and go for something a bit smaller.

Between the shape, material, and ease of use with the contoured end fitting nicely in your hand, it is a very good toy for thrusting.

It's pretty discreet in its looks, resembling something such as a humpback wale or a long electric razor, and it would be great for travel with its ease of storage and lockable control pad.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Chloe contains 3 different motors; One is located in the head of the shaft while another is located closer to the base of the shaft, and the 3rd one is located in the opposite end that is contoured for clitoral stimulation.

Chloe has 6 different speeds and 5 different functions that switch between the motors and are very different and fun to play with.

It has a four-way control pad with plus and minus buttons on either side and up and down arrows at the top and bottom, and the control pad is fairly easy to use as long as you remember that when in use it will be turned around and you won't be able to see the control pad as it is located on top of the curve rather than the underside of it, which is the side that should be facing up during use. Of course, you could use it turned either way, but that is the most natural fitting way and the way the toy is intended to be used.

Press the + button to turn Chloe on and adjust the speed, and the up arrow at the top of the control pad takes you through the different patterns.

#1 is a steady vibration in the motor located at the head of the shaft and it is a very deep, strong, and rumbly vibration.

#2 is a steady vibration in all 3 of the motors at once, and because three motors are now working instead of one, the power is being spread out between them, therefore it's not as strong as the first one which is using all the juice to power only one motor, making #1 a much deeper and heavier vibration, and this one a lot more subtle and buzzy, if that makes sense.

#3 is a steady pulse alternating between the top two motors located in the shaft, and because of the alternation, it is stronger than multiple motors being powered simultaneously because the power is concentrated quickly from one end/motor to the other.

#4 is a longer, slower, alternating pulse between the two motors in the shaft, which is great for some deep stimulation and teasing. There is a longer interval between the switch up of the motors with this one.

#5 is quite wild as it's a lot like 3 and 4, alternating between those two top motors, but so fast it almost seems like they're just being powered at the same time when really it's just the same pattern but extremely fast and intense.

During any of these patterns, if you press down on the down arrow button at the bottom of the control pad, all the power switches to the one motor located in the contoured end for external stimulation. Because there's not much room for a large motor here like in the head of the shaft, it's pretty weak and buzzy even as you move up to the highest speed setting.

A great feature to Chloe is that it locks and unlocks by holding down the center of the control pad for three seconds, and the blue light around the control pad will blink indicating that it has been successfully locked/unlocked.

A not so great feature is the cover to the charging port. It's made out of a cheap plastic and fits in and around the port very loosely, making it not so easy to keep it in place.

Chloe is not waterproof, so count this out as a bath time toy, and I do find her to be kind of loud and rattly for a luxury vibrator. Definitely heard through a blanket, possibly heard through a closed door.
    • Lots of variety in function
    • Rechargeable
    • Strong patterns

Care and Maintenance

Not only do you not want to use Chloe with any silicone-based lubes because it is made out of silicone and that could destroy the material, the manual states never to use massage oil, hand creams, lubricants, or cleansers containing alcohol, petrol, or acetone with Chloe.

I'm not sure exactly why this is, but I can say that I used Chloe with water-based Wet Platinum lubricant and then cleaned it with warm water and antibacterial soap and one or the other seemed to have given it this splotchy look rather than looking 100% new after use and cleaning, even though I know it is 100% clean. After that I tried cleaning it with Climax Bursts toy cleaner to see if that would get rid of the splotchiness and that didn't seem to do the trick either, so make sure you carefully check the ingredients of whatever lubes and cleaners you use with Chloe.

She is a lint magnet as well, so be sure to dry it off with lint-free materials. Tea towels are ideal for wiping down toys like this because they don't contain the fibers that regular towels or paper towels do.

It does come with a very pretty satin pouch that is black on one side and hot pink on the other with a handy little drawstring.

You always want to store it in its pouch because the manual states to keep Chloe away from toys made of other materials, direct sunlight, and extreme heat.
    • Easy to store
    • Hard to clean
Follow-up commentary
At first Chloe had me awed with its wonderful size and features, but even from the beginning, she never had a chance of being one of my favorites with her rattly vibrations (which turn out to be quite weak)and cheap manufacturing flaws. Unfortunately Chloe stays near the bottom of my toy box and never sees the light of day.

Great review!! I wish this one was actually available, I don't know if they have released it yet. It seems like a fun toy to me, especially because it has multiple motors.

    Thanks, ladies!

Regardless of a few glitches and the price range of the toy which isn't listed on here, but that I came across doing research on a few other sites ($189 value ), I think there are a lot of good things about Chloe.

I wonder if EF will actually start selling the product. It was assigned and I was all too eager and happy to accept.

If she was just made with a little more thought, she'd be the cream of the crop!
