The daydream - g-spot vibrator discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by ~LaUr3n~

Doc Johnson has been a leader of adult novelties for years now. They offer great shapes at affordable prices and have been recently going through their most beloved designs, originally made of rubber or PVC, and replacing them with lovely silicone - still at very affordable prices. And even more recently, Doc Johnson came out with some all original shapes and designs also in 100% platinum silicone. This particular toy, the Daydream, is a moderately sized toy in length, but has plenty of shape and curve to reach the g-spot. Its long and powerful bullet can be used with the toy or with a different toy. The silicone is extremely safe for the body and is durable. It can also be sterilized. The silicone is soft and flexible while also having a lovely firmness. The included bullet is strong and has multiple settings. The Daydream is even waterproof!

The Daydream is made of 100% silicone. Doc Johnson describes it as platinum silicone. It's firm and formed, but still able to have a flexible surface. It's able to bend, but no portion of the material can be grabbed, pulled, or stretched (it doesn't have a skin like property). The material's surface is smooth, but it does have considerable drag. This means it probably requires lubricant to be used comfortably. It's also a good idea to rinse it before use since it could collect lint and other grubbies. This toy comes in two colors, either purple or pink. The colors are pretty and soft.

Silicone is a very safe material, excellent for toys. It's nonporous and hypoallergenic, as well as free of both latex and phthalates. It's completely safe for those with allergies and withstands hot temperatures for sterilization. It has no odor or taste.

The bullet that this comes with is made of plastic. It's lightweight, smooth, and non-porous. It cannot be sterilized, however.

The Daydreamer is designed to be a g-spotter. It has a gentle curve and full end for hitting that area. It slims out for easy insertion and then fattens again to stimulate the most sensitive part of the vagina, the first inch or two. It's a moderately sized toy big enough to please most, but not so large that beginners cannot use it. When the toy is put together (bullet inserted), it is 6 1/2" in length. 5 1/2" of that is insertable - a decent amount of length for most. The top 2" of the toy are curved and able to flex since the bullet doesn't reach into this area. The thickest part of the vibrator is about 1 1/2" in diameter, 5" in circumference. The vibrator is that thickness at the bottom of the curve and near the base of the insertable portion. The thinnest area is about in the middle of the shaft. That area is 1 1/8" in diameter, 3 1/2" in circumference. There is a lip at the end of the vibrator that helps prevent the toy from being sucked into an orifice entirely. The bottom of this area is flat and has a hole for the bullet to be inserted.





The bullet is long and slender, much longer than a traditional bullet. The bullet is 5 1/4" long and about 3/4" wide, 2 1/4" in circumference. The bottom unscrews so that the batteries can be inserted. Two AAA batteries are needed and not included.

This toy is not graphically phallic, but it's purpose is fairly obvious to most people. It's size makes it not hard to hide, however.

The Daydream is powered by a single push button on the bottom of the bullet. It's typical of bullet controls. Pressing the button on the bottom will turn the vibrator on and start the first of three steady vibration levels.

1. The first level radiates strong enough vibration from the bullet to be felt throughout the entire vibrator. The extra long bullet provides the power and area to deliver vibrations to all the needed areas instead of being deadened by the thick silicone material. The vibrations are average but can tease most and please many. The noise level is low and cannot be heard through a door.

2. This level is also steady and slightly higher than the first level. The vibrations are noticeably stronger and increase slightly in noise level as well, but still cannot be heard through a door, especially if inserted. This level of vibration also delivers vibrations nicely throughout the entire length of the toy without numbing the hands that hold it.

3. The final level is yet another jump in power to a medium-high level. It can be felt internally and delivers vibrations to the tip of the g-spot curve which works wonders. It's still fairly quiet, but might be heard through a door if there is no other ambient noise.

This toy lacks vibration patterns.

Since this material is silicone, it should not used with silicone lubricants. Water based ones work very well with the material. Any kind of lubricant can be used with the bullet if used alone.

To clean, the Daydream can be run under hot water with soap. To sterilize, the sleeve can be removed and placed in a dishwasher or put in a pot of boiling water for about 5 minutes. The bullet can be wiped down with a toy wipe or damp cloth. Remember, it cannot be sterilized.

To store, place back in the package or in a cool dark place away from direct sunlight.

The packaging is very simple. It comes in a plastic clam shell that shows the toy through the front. The sleeve and bullet are separated in the package. It's a little over sized but is great for keeping dust bunnies away from your toy. The back also includes information about the toy and Doc Johnson.

Here is where I get to put in my subjective part of the review. Honestly, I only have one major complaint about this toy. The bullet is so long that it's REALLY hard to get in and even harder to get out. My boyfriend even had trouble with it. I suggest just keeping the bullet in there, or putting a little powder in there before inserting it, if you want to get it out for sterilizing the sleeve.

Other than that, I love this toy! I didn't expect the vibrations to travel well, but the key is the long bullet. I can feel them well internally and the size is perfect for me. No, it's not going to please all size queens and power house g-spot or clits, but it's a great toy for many.

I used this toy mostly for building up while inserting it, but was unable to have g-spot orgasms with it since the tip does flex. The vibrations do travel through the tip which can be used on the clit for a finish, great ones at that.
