Bound By Diamonds diamond teaser - classic bullet discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Experiment

The Bound by Diamonds Diamond Teaser is a classic bullet vibe. This can be used either solo or in couple play and is primarily intended for clitoral stimulation, though it can be used for all-over body play. Because of its generous cord length, this is better than a lot of bullets for couple play.

This bullet is made out of plastic. Plastic is an 8 on the Eden safety scale. It can be cleaned with soap and water. While not as safe as silicone, it is considered a safe, non-porous, phtalate free toy. This toy is made up of 2 different materials: the black plastic which covers the controller and half the actual bullet and the silver portion, which covers the other half of the bullet. The black plastic has a feeling similar to the PU coated plastic feeling (for anybody who owns a toy in that material). For those who don't own a PU coated plastic toy, the Bound by Diamonds Diamond Teaser black portions have a very smooth velvety feeling. There is no drag when rubbed across the skin and it feels very luxurious. This is by far my favorite texture of toys to have and I loved that it manages to have this texture while still ranking an 8 on the safety scale.

The silver portion has a much cheaper feeling to it. It's that cheap plastic that makes you think of a children's toy. It does have a slight drag across skin. Luckily, this portion of the toy is meant to be where the bullet is gripped and therefore the texture/safety isn't as big of an issue (it is still an 8 on the safety scale). While I would have preferred the soft black plastic all over the toy, because the silver portion is so small and is on a part that isn't as important, I don't find that it bothers me much.

The silver portion of the bullet does have grooves intended to provide comfortable holding for the fingers. Personally, I don't hold my bullet with my fingers in the way they designed, so the grooves do nothing for me. They also don't hinder me in anyway. For me, it's as if the grooves don't exist. However, if you do hold the bullet in a way compatible with the grooves, I would think it would be a very nice, comfortable feature.

The bullet has a comfortable 1" diameter, for those looking to use this toy internally. I found that the bullet was a perfect size. I often buy toys with smaller bullets and find that it's just too small. This is a really great size because it can be used internally without discomfort, but is still large enough to provide non-pinpoint stimulation (I personally don't like stimulation that ONLY hits the clitoris directly.)

As I said above, I really love the smaller control pack. I never understood why the control packs needed to be so large in comparison to the actual bullet, and I think this compact control pack is the perfect size.

I think the wire provided is slightly more generous than the standard and could be used comfortably in couple play.

This toy is easy to store due to its size and can be hidden away in the back of a nightstand drawer. It is fairly obvious that it's a vibrator, however, so there's no leaving it out without getting found out.

This bullet is powered by the control pack, connected to the bullet via cord. The control pack is unusually small, which is a really big bonus. I hate when 3/4 of the space occupied by the toy is the huge control pack with a teeny tiny little bullet. I think the bullet is a nice, big size, and the control pack is a nice small size in comparison.

The control pack is easy to navigate. To turn on or increase the vibration intensity, simply hit the 'up' button. To turn the vibration intensity down or off, simply hit the 'down' button. The bullet comes with 5 vibration intensities.

I heard really great things about this vibe. I read reviews that raved. I was disapointed. This isn't a bad bullet, but it isn't the savior of all bullets I had hoped it would be. A lot of what's said about it is true. It's very strong (unusually strong for a bullet and for a toy of its size). However, it's not what I would consider quiet. On its lower settings, you could get away with using it under a blanket with a closed door. However, by the time you've gotten to the fifth level, anybody passing by could hear it. As a college student living in a dorm, noise is a large factor of a toy. I definitely felt the need to play music or turn on the TV when using this toy. And while the vibration is very strong, I found it was highly numbing. While it wasn't a super buzzy vibration, I didn't consider it rumbly at all. On intensity 3-5, I found that it had the tendency to numb me quite quickly.

For me, this toy is a finisher. I do use it quite often, but only when I'm wrapping things up. I wouldn't use this toy for an extended period of time, however, it is good in short spurts.

The toy does go through batteries a little faster than some of my other toys (a trade-off for its power). Luckily, it takes 3AAA batteries, so I still find it better than toys that last longer on their batteries but require me to buy strange N-1 type batteries.

The best part of plastic is the clean up. Wash with some soapy water, dry, and store just about anywhere. There's no toy material as low maintenance and easy to use as plastic.

The toy comes in your basic clear plastic clam-shell packaging. There is a woman on the box. It's not the most discreet packaging because it's clear that it's a vibrator, however it isn't the most explicit that I've seen either (the woman is wearing clothing). It's definitely not a high end toy and the packaging doesn't make it the best gift option.

I had really high hopes for this toy, and unfortunately was left down. However, I had REALLY high expectations for this toy. I think that the average consumer would be more than pleased if they purchased this vibe.
