Ladies and Gentleman, may I present you the Luxe rejuvenate? This little guy is another brilliant creation by Cal Exotics. It looks like a funky "J" shape without the top. It's designed for clitoral stimulation. The shape is also good for massage the P-spot from the perineum, making the Luxe more gender friendly (especially if you decide to get it in black!). Other areas that may enjoy the Luxe are the nipples and vaginal entrance. Even though it is a smaller toy, don't let size fool you! The Luxe can be used for shallow G-spot stimulation. There are a variety of functions for the Luxe and is bound to please anyone.

The Luxe is a powerful vibe for its size and discretion. It is a good choice for those who live with others or are in a dorm situation. If you are looking for a good vibe that has patterns, strength, and is portable, the Luxe rejuvenate is a good choice.

The Luxe is very beginner friendly but a good pick for more experienced players as well. For beginners it is non-intimidating in just about every way. The Luxe rejuvenate is not intended for anal use. If desired, it would be used to only tease the anal opening, but it best to use a condom over the toy because the toy's material is partially porous.

The Luxe rejuvenate is made with PUA coated plastic. PU, or polyurethane, is a coating used by the industry because it is easy to make and use. PU is a liquid at hot temperatures, which allows it to be poured in a mold or made as a coating. PU is commonly used to increase the longevity of what it coats and act as a sealant. Underneath the PU coating is ABS plastic. ABS plastic in itself is semi-porous and there are many types of ABS on the market because each company may have theirs made with a different proportion of ingredients (so long as it falls in a range for each ingredient, the polymer will still be considered ABS).

So what does that mean? The toy is pretty safe, clocking in a a 7 on the scale. It's semi-porous so baddies like bacteria can collect on the toy, but nothing near the likes of jelly or rubber (given you clean your Luxe properly!). If you vigilant and clean it after each use, the toy will both be safe and last a while.

The texture of the Luxe is smooth save for its shape. It is hard, so it will not bend or flex from it's target, which is great for direct, fim stimulation. There is a visually noticeable seam around the toy's perimeter. It doesn't hinder cleaning and cannot be felt during use. The only other seam is where the battery cage is. The Luxe has little to no drag. If anything you can add a little lubricant to make your Luxe glide effortlessly. There is no overt odor to the Luxe.

The shape, which is curved with a bulbous nub at the end, looks like a topless "J." Actually, the more I look at it, it reminds me of an elephant's trunk, but I digress. The Luxe is ergonomic for use, especially for clitoral stimulation. The curve of the toy gets contact with the clitoris and also allows easy access for the controls toward the bottom of the Luxe. The design is fresh and non-intimidating, especially for beginners.

In terms of size and dimensions, the Luxe is on the smaller side. He's a little over 4 inches long with an insertable length of 2.5 inches. The circumference of the Luxe is 4.75 inches at its widest point, but this seems inaccurate when it comes to inserting it. The head of the Luxe thins considerably at the neck. In general, the Luxe has varying girth, but nothing extreme. Again, this little guy screams beginner for the above, but others will like it as well (I'll let you know in the next section). The small size of the Luxe makes it easy for travel. It'll easily fit in a purse or bag.

One of the highlights of the Luxe is its functions. The luxe has two buttons on the front toward the lower end of the toy. Its placement is made clitoral masturbation. The power button only turns the toy on and off. This is useful so the toy doesn't accidentally vibrate when you don't want it to and if you need to shut it off quickly. The power button is the button farther away if the toy is position for clitoral stimulation.

The second button is closer to the perimeter of the toy and is the vibration/patterns button. Once the Luxe is on, the vibrations are as follows.

The 7th one is 3 short pulses followed by a long one. The vibrations don't feel that powerful if you're messing with the buttons in your hand, but they do know how to treat a clitoris. The vibrations are more buzzy than rumbly in nature. Overall the controls are easy to use. If you turn off the Luxe and turn it back on, it starts its vibrations at the beginning (low vibration). The Luxe is discreet, being only 2 Bees at its loudest. The vibrations should please most clitorises, but those with ones of steel may not get everything they hope out of this one.

The one thing that's upsetting is that the Luxe is NOT waterproof. It says it on the page, but this is not so. The back of the luxe has a battery cage similar to TV remotes (with the little tap you push in and the panel slides out). There is no form of waterproofing in the battery cage, no rubber/plastic rings or plugs of any sort. The false advertising is upsetting. If you are looking for a waterproof toy, this little guy is maybe slash resistant, if that.

Caring and cleaning for the Luxe is not difficult. Because it is not waterproof or splash proof, it is best to removed the batteries when cleaning with water. If any water or moisture gets into the battery cage, it's best to store it somewhere where it can dry for a couple of days before using it again. The Luxe can be cleaned with alcohol wipes, soap and water, or wet wipes.

Both water and silicone based lubricant can be used with the Luxe. Being made of PU coated plastic, it doesn't tend to collect lint. There can be debris that collects around the seam of the toy. It has more maintenance compared to waterproof toys because you can not soak it, but it is still not difficult.

Once dry, the Luxe can be stored. If stored for a long time, the batteries should be removed.

The Luxe came in a clear plastic box. Be careful opening it because you can cut yourself on the plastic. The packaging is in no way discreet nor designed for continual storage.

Out of all the toys I have reviewed to date, I think the Luxe is one of the best toys you can get for a friend who is new to sex toys. It is small and not intimidating. It has a variety of functions that can please many different preferences, whether vaginal, clitoral or more. It has patterns along with a few different vibration intensities. The Luxe is also discreet. For the price, this little guy is a great toy.

My partner has developed a bit of an alliance with our Luxe. He likes to place it in my underwear and turn it on as a go about my daily tasks. It is not super strong positioned like this and can move a bit, but it does make for great foreplay. We both find the shape fun and are constantly finding new ways to take advantage of it.
