The Travel Teaser by California Exotic Novelties is a compact pocket-rocket style vibrator designed to stimulate the clitoris. It can be used to stimulate the nipples (it is EXCELLENT for this!), shaft and head of the penis, testicles, neck, outside of the anus - just about anywhere on the surface of your body! The Teaser is not designed for insertion into any orifice, but is great for surface stimulation. Run the Teaser over sensitive skin for a shiver of delight. Pop on one of the four included plastic caps to add some extra texture, or shift through the 7 vibration modes for some variety. Take the waterproof Teaser into the shower for some slick, slippery fun.

While this isn't the strongest vibrator I've ever had, it is great for teasing yourself or your lover during foreplay. Just don't expect earth-shattering, world shaking vibrations. Unless you are very sensitive, this pocket rocket is unlikely to bring you to orgasm by itself.

The Teaser is plastic, has 3 metal nubs on the head, and comes with 4 hard plastic caps. The Teaser has no discernible taste or smell. It is smooth and unyielding to the touch, as to be expected with plastic toys. Plastic is smooth, non-porous, and phthalate-free, giving plastic a material safety rating of 8/10.

The Teaser's head consists of three metal nubs, which are the focal point of the toy. The Teaser's design, as a clitoral stimulator, focuses all vibrations at the head of the toy. The smooth metal nubs glide easily over skin and will give a nice, cool feeling at first touch. The spacing between the nubs is relatively wide, so be careful not to catch any of the lovely folds of the vagina between them, as this might result in some pinching. As long as you don't grind the Teaser into your clitoris, there should be little risk of getting skin nestled and tugged between the nubs. Personally, I prefer the Teaser without a cap on it, as I like the feel of the very smooth, gently rounded nubs.


The head is indented, so that the four included caps can be snugly fitted onto the Teaser.


I will show each cap individually and point out a couple positives and negatives of each.

Cap 1: This cap has the most texture to it. It is covered in dozens of small nubs that although rounded on top, feel slightly spiky. This cap is ideal for stimulating areas like nipples and neck. Be careful using this cap on the fragile skin of the clitoris; on me, it produced a scratching sensation and slight irritation.


Cap 2: This cap has slightly larger peaks that are also rounded, but slightly scratchy and sharp. There are 12 of these nubs in total, each larger and spaced farther apart than the peaks on cap 1. This one feels FANTASTIC on the nipples! If you don't use any other cap, use this one! Again, I found it slightly scratchy on the tender skin of my clitoris, but it produced amazing sensations on my nipples. Try running it over your lover's skin to give them a thrill.


Cap 3: This cap has 6 raised nubs with smooth, flat tops. This cap did little for stimulating my nipples, but worked great on my clitoris and labia. This cap also worked wonderfully for stimulating the testicles, shaft, and head of my lover's cock. Because the tops of the nubs are smooth and flat, don't expect much extra stimulation from the nubs themselves.


Cap 4: This cap is a smooth and evenly rounded with no nubs or extra texture of any sort. This is arguably the least exciting cap of the 4. It doesn't add any particular extra sensation, however it does provide a smooth surface that can easy run across the skin. Put a small drop of lube or lotion on the tip, and let this cap slip and slide wherever you care to run it across.

The Teaser is a petite, easy to store, and easy to hide toy designed to stimulate the clitoris. The Teaser is not intended for penetration and is suitable for toy aficionados and newcomers alike.

The Teaser is 4.25" inches long and .75" wide, meaning it can easily be slipped into a purse or pocket. It fits comfortably in the hand during use without being too bulky to hold easily or too small to get a good grip.



The top is indented from the shaft of the Teaser. The indented area has four vertical ridges located uniformly around the top. These are to help grip the caps in place.


To give an idea of just how nondescript and easy to carry the Teaser is, here's a picture of it next to a metal nail file, lip gloss tube, and a pen. That said, don't flash the Teaser around unless you want someone to realize something is up. Passing the Teaser off as anything other than a sex toy would be rather difficult.


The Teaser comes in purple [pictured] and silver. Both have an aesthetically pleasing matte, metallic finish.

The Travel Teaser has seven vibration modes. All of the Teaser's vibrations are focused at the "head" of the toy, at the metal nubs. The Teaser's buzzy vibrations are controlled by a single button on the base.


Click the button on the base once to turn the Teaser on. Once on, you can cycle through the 7 vibration settings:
1. Low power vibrations, continuous buzz (this is the immediate setting when turned on)
2. Medium strength vibrations, continuous buzz
3. Highest strength vibrations, continuous buzz
4. Roller coaster style vibrations - short bursts of buzzy vibrations, building from low to high and then dropping back down to low
5. Top strength vibrations repeated in pulses
6. Medium strength vibrations in repeated pulses
7. 3 pulses at medium strength, followed by a longer pulse at high power

Click the control button once more and the Teaser is turned off. Every time you turn the Teaser on you have to cycle through all 7 vibrations to turn it back off again. No quick shut off here!

The application of one of the four caps included with the teaser will add additional texture and stimulation during vibrations. The power difference between direct contact with the Teaser's head and the head covered with a cap is minimal. The vibrations can certainly be felt more strongly without the cap on, but the added texture of the caps can mitigate the slight loss in power.

The Teaser is waterproof, so be ready to add a little buzz to bath time! I used the teaser in both the shower and bathtub with no issues. I actually found the Teaser's performance in the bath the most gratifying, in or out of water. The combination of hot water, the vibrations themselves, and the reverberations through the water combined made for a thoroughly delicious bath time experience.

Be aware that the fun, buzzy vibrations are not very strong, even at the highest setting. The Teaser runs off a single AA battery (not included with the toy), which can be inserted by twisting the base of the toy and removing the end. One AA battery doesn't supply very much power, which is where I ran into problems. I had a very difficult time orgasming with this toy alone. As a warm up toy, this is great. As a supplement to foreplay and/or couple's play, this is great. As a solo toy designed to finish you off with a mind-numbing orgasm? Well, I'd look elsewhere. The weak vibrations provided by the Teaser are great for TEASING, not for finishing, and may even numb you up too much to achieve orgasm if you use it for too long without cessation.

During use, this toy can be heard from under the covers, but can't be heard through a closed door.

Since the Teaser is plastic, you can feel safe using silicone- or water-based lubricant with it. You should also be able to use the Teaser with just about any other toy you own, as long as you pay attention to the lube and material compatibility of your other toy.

Cleaning the Teaser is a breeze. The Teaser is plastic and waterproof, so don't be afraid to submerge it during cleaning. After use, spritz the Teaser really well with some antibacterial toy cleaner and then rinse it off really well. If you've used any of the four included caps, make sure you clean the caps thoroughly, too. If you did not use any of the caps, pay attention to the nubs at the top of the Teaser, especially the seams where the metal meets the plastic. You don't want to leave any bacteria on this baby.

After you've cleaned the Teaser, dry it off and store it and the included caps just about anywhere. The Teaser is round and will roll around a drawer or other storage area with the slightest provocation, and the small caps can be easy to misplace. I recommend storing all four caps and the Teaser itself in a ziploc bag or other container to prevent rolling or loss of any parts. Thanks to its diminutive size, the Teaser will fit comfortably in pretty much every box, bag, drawer, etc.

I have tried and tried and TRIED to make this vibe work for me as a clitoral stimulator. It falls short every time. The vibrations are strong enough to build me up to the crest of an orgasm, but can't get me all the way there no matter what. Worse, the vibrations are just strong enough to leave me desensitized and slightly numb, so sex or oral can't finished the job, either. I can whip out the Hitachi and force an orgasm, but what in the world is the fun in that?
