Evolved exceeds my expectations again

While this isn't my new favorite toy, it's certainly something worth trying if you like moderate pinpoint vibrations. It's great for someone looking for something quiet and waterproof, but if you have hundreds of toys it may not be your new favorite. Overall, it's certainly something that I suggest.

Use

The Engagement Ring by Evolved, as well as the less pointy Promise Ring, are small, corded bullets. These toys are petite and great for travel, though they are certainly not the most versatile that I own.

This bullet is intended for external use, and it's really meant to be used on the clitoris. It's got a fairly pointy tip for more pinpoint stimulation, and you can use the side for a bit broader stimulation. It's not the best if you like to cover the entire area in vibrations or if you want to use this on an entire nipple.

You shouldn't insert this vaginally because it's too small and pulling it out can put stress on the cord and break your cute new toy. You also should never insert this anally because if it did come loose from the cord it could certainly get lost inside you.

This isn't the best for all-over body massage because of the tiny size, though if you wanted to use it on a small pressure point like your wrist or the center of your foot I suppose that you could. It also can be used for external stimulation on male genitalia, but because of the small size it might not do it for most guys.

This would be an okay toy to introduce vibrators into a relationship. It's small and not too powerful, and it's not going to scare anyone off, but I usually try and recommend something that's at least a bit insertable. It's cheap, though, which is always something to keep in mind in case your partner freaks out and flushes it down the toilet or something.

I feel pretty much the same way about it being someones first toy ever. It's small and not too scary, but it really won't let you play around with thrusting or inserting toys. If you're looking for something tiny and cheap for your first, this is certainly one of the ones that I would recommend.

This little guy 100% passes Ryu's dorm seal of approval. The size makes it great to toss just about anywhere, and it's quiet enough to use even if you have thin walls. All this on top of being waterproof and powerful, I think that we have ourselves a winner!

Material / Texture

This is toy is entirely made of firm, pink plastic which is rated an 8 out of 10 on the Eden Safety Scale. Plastic is nonporous and body safe, meaning that it won't leak gross chemicals into your skin and that bacteria can't get underneath the surface. You also can disinfect plastic by wiping it down with a 10% bleach solution, which should be done every time you plan on switching users.

The cord is also covered in pink plastic, but the plastic is very flexible and soft. I assume that it's just as safe and nonporous as the rest of the toy. The plastic that covers the cord is also transparent, which is cool because you can see the wiring.

There are no real seams or anything on this toy that you can feel during use, and the only place where gunk can really get stuck is the button on the controller part. This makes it easy to clean and care for, especially since you aren't really inserting it.

This plastic has almost no drag to it at all which makes this an even more easy to use toy. If you're planning a getaway you don't have to pack lube if you only want to use this clitorally. If you do want to add a drop of lube a little bit goes a long ways.

The only part of the toy itself that has any give at all to it is the little clear button. This is raised and easy to find, and it's also easy to press. The rest of it is super rigid, which means that you need to take care not to press to hard on your clitoris and bruise yourself.

Overall, plastic is a great material for all levels of users. It's easy to care for and safe, and it'll last as long as the motor inside of it does. As far as external toys go this is a fine thing for them to be made out of.

Design / Shape / Size

The design of this toy is actually pretty neat, and it lets you control the toy without having to take it off of your erogenous zones and fuss around with it. While it doesn't make it much more convenient if you have easily-tired fingers, I like it much more than the traditional button-on-the-bullet style.

The business end of this toy is shaped like a small round of ammunition with a bit of a 'waist' and a pointy tip. It's a just bit over two inches long, so it's quite small and compact. If you hold it for a long while your fingers may get a bit tired since it's so small and thin.

This end is attached to the 'ring' by a cord that's a bit over 3 feet long. This cord has no give to it and you shouldn't yank on it, but it is sealed well enough to be waterproof. It's flexible and hard to tangle as well, but it's a bit confusing if you decide to wrap it around the toy for storage.

The ring bit is a bit flexible and is made also of pink plastic. It fits easily over all of my fingers, but if you have giant or swollen fingers you may have to stick with using your pinky or ring finger. I think that it would fit on anyone's pinky unless you have a serious medical condition. There is a small white button on the tip that is easy to find and press with another finger.

The tip of the toy is best for pinpoint clitoral stimulation. I personally found it a bit too intense to use directly on my clitoris, but it was the perfect shape to use along the side of my clit. It's nice for moderately broad stimulation, but if you like vibrations that cover the entire are you may find this a bit too direct.

If you're looking for a travel toy this is a pretty good option. You can easily toss it in with your other luggage or even in your purse and it won't take up any room at all. I would not leave this out on the desk, though, because it's not the most discreet and it will attract the attention of those who see it.

Overall, this is a great toy for those looking for something small and not intimidating. I would more recommend it to those who know they like pinpoint stimulation than to beginners, but I certainly wouldn't dissuade you if you have your heart set on this being your first toy.

Functions / Performance / Controls

You control this toy by pressing the small button on the ring like you can see in my above picture. I find that the easiest way to do this is to keep the ring on my thumb and press it with my pointer finger, especially because when I relax my hand I can't accidentally hit the button.

You press the button once to turn it on the lowest setting, and you press it again to cycle through all of the different settings. You have to go through them all to turn the toy off, but since there aren't too many it's not too inconvenient. The five settings are as follows:

1) Low
2) High
3) BZZZ BZZZ BZZZ
4) BZ BZ BZ BZ BZ
5) BZ BZZZZ BZ BZZZZ

On high it's about 3 vrooms and it's just a bit over one bee. It's going to be just enough to get most women off, but if you need a lot of power it's going to leave you reaching for your toys with a bit more oomph. On high I can barley hear it an armslength away and it can in no way be heard over the public showers.

The vibrations on this toy are actually pretty buzzy. They're not as buzzy as the Iconic bullet I had, but they're certainly more so than some of my deeper silicone toys. It's certainly something that's personal preference.

The vibrations are strongest at the entire bullet. THIS can be a problem if you're bothered by having your fingers vibrated. It's not an issue if you're tucking it into your panties or just using it for a few minutes, but if you're one of those ladies who uses toys for an extended period of time you may need to switch hands.

Overall, this is a pretty nice toy for the price! It's quiet and easy to use, and it has a lot of patterns that are fun to play around with. Not for those who need a ton of power or who hate having their fingers get vibrated strongly, but I still would recommend it to most people.

Care and Maintenance

This little guy is actually super easy to care for. It's plastic which won't degrade over time, and it's not a lint magnet at all. As long as you keep this in a fairly clean place you can get away with just washing this after every use, especially since it's not intended for insertion. I wash mine with an antibacterial toy cleaner, but soap and water or a toy wipe also do just fine.

You also can disinfect this toy by wiping it down with a 10% bleach solution. This should be done every time you switch partners or users in order to prevent the spread of bacteria and infection. You can't boil plastic or things with motors, so just stick to disinfecting it with bleach.

I keep this in a cool, dark place with the rest of my toys. Plastic is compatible with all other toy materials, so feel free to toss it in with the rest of your toys unless you're concerned about it getting tangled. Similarly plastic can be used with all types of lube.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

This little bullet comes in itsy bitsy packaging. It's a small black box made of thin plastic with a thicker plastic tray inside. When you get it the wire is pulled through to the other side of the tray, but I couldn't get it back that way for the photo.

You can clearly see the toy through the front and it has some very basic information on the back about the toy and the batteries. It's not the classiest, but it's compact and it doesn't take up your entire trash can. There aren't any naked women on it or lewd sayings, which is always nice.

While you could wrap this up and give it as a gift it's pretty small. It would be a great sexy stocking stuffer or something to tuck into a gift basket, but as the main present it may seem a bit little. You CAN indeed store your toy in here, but it's not too convenient.

Personal comments

Just something to point out, this little guy does indeed take watch batteries. It's not the most convenient thing, but it does come with two sets of them. I have used it quite a bit and it hasn't started to use up the batteries, so I think that the two sets will last you quite a while.

Experience

This was another Evolved toy that I got almost entirely because I wanted to plan trees, and Eden was planting one tree for every Evolved toy I got. So of course I got a few! I really wasn't expecting this to be anything special, but I really do like it a lot.

It's small enough that I can pack it places that I can't bring a lot of my other toys (my Tsunami/Theta/Bandito just can't fit in my purse, darned it!) and it's something that gets used every now and again when I want something high pitched with patterns.

Though it may not be worth keeping watch batteries around for after it dies, I would highly recommend this if you're looking for a pinpoint bullet with moderate power. The corded remote really does make it a breeze to operate, so I am giving this toy a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

Ha! I laughed at the visual of someone trying to flush a vibrator down the toilet. That's really interesting that this is corded but also waterproof.
