Icicles No. 35 - g-spot vibrator discontinued by Pipedream - review by Buttercup Green

Icicles No. 35 is a glass wonder! It is another great multi-purpose bedroom tool. I use it for regular vaginal penatration. With the curve, it can be used to target the G-spot or P-spot. The curve doesn't look like much with the naked eye, but it feels intense when inserted. The nice little handle acts as a safe flared base, and it looks very cool and artistic. The head of the shaft has raised texture and so does the handle end of the toy. The texture could prove to be too intense for some, but texture lovers will enjoy this I think. The overall diameter is on the slim to average side, so even beginners could use this. The design is curvy and girly, so it will appeal to those who are easily intimidated by toys. Glass is super rigid, which makes the texture seem a bit more pronounced, so beware! With my experiences, this toy works great for either solo or partner play. The small bullet fits well between two bodies, but the dildo is best saved for foreplay. Glass is super pretty, and it can be used for those who love to play with cold and hot temperatures. I would not boil or freeze it before play as the extreme temps could cause frostbite or burns. This thing feels amazing after a nice bath in ice water! Even thinking about it gives me goose bumps. As with all glass toys, be careful when thrusting. The rigid nature of glass can easily bruise the cervix and other tender tissues.

Like all the other Icicles, this one is made out of glass. This material is known for having multiple positives. It is non-porous and hypo-allergenic as well as latex and phthalates free. All of those words add up to a perfectly safe material for your body. The one great thing, or not so great thing depending on the user, is that glass is super rigid. I love the rigidness of glass because it gives me the pressure my G-spot needs in order to orgasm. The toy is designed in a very unusual gold-ish color. It looks gold in a certain light and angle, but it mostly looks like a peach color. Glass can be used with any type of lubricant, and a little goes a very long way. Some people may not even need to use lube as natural juices are sometimes enough. Glass doesn't smell or taste, and more importantly it does not retain any smells like silicone can do. This is a curved wand with multiple textures. All of the textures are raised and can be felt easily. The textures include nubs and swirls. The toy did come with some scratches on the surface (not cracks). For the price, this is definitely not okay. I have never received an Icicles toy with surface damage, and I am sad that this was delivered to me like this. However, the scratches are very hard to see, and it does not affect the overall performance of the toy.
The gold colored bullet and control pack are made out of plastic. Plastic has all the same attributes as glass, including the rigidity. It did not come with any smells or tastes. The control pack has a seam but not the bullet. The seam on the control pack runs along the sides. The bullet feels very lightweight and cheaply made even with the batteries inserted. The color of the bullet and control pack is definitely darker than that of the actual dildo, so it might look weird or unattractive to some people.

Head and Shaft:
The head starts out with a blunt little tip, and it is very easy to insert. Quickly after the tip is inserted, you will run into the large bump on top of the shaft. This bump provides some extreme G-spot pressure, and it seems to zero in on my G-spot effortlessly. Without this bump, I don't think this would have worked out as well for me. On either side of this bump are two raised nubs (one on either side), and they are extremely raised. They almost look like eyes when looking at the toy in certain angles. I could not feel the nubs as much as I thought I would, but I think that is because all of my senses were focused on the huge amount of stimulation my G-spot was receiving. Underneath each nub is a raised swirl that runs all down the sides of the shaft. Again, I couldn't really feel them. However, they sure do make the toy look artistic and pretty. The entire shaft is curved, but not as much as I thought it would be. I took one look at the shaft and immediately thought that it wouldn't make me squirt. The shaft's curve is definitely more shallow than that of Fun Factory's Curve or Delight.


Handle:
The handle is where the bullet is inserted to make this a vibrating toy. However, the bullet does not work for me, so instead I use this as a handle. With the bullet inserted, I found it really hard to hold the toy during solo play. It turned out to be a double fail for me. I can insert about a fourth of my index finger into the hole, and the rest of my fingers curl around the entire handle. This not only makes thrusting or rocking easier but also more accurate. On top of the handle is a raised oval. I think this was meant more for looks than anything, but it does create something to grab onto when your fingers are slippery.

The bullet and control pack runs on three AAA batteries, and it does accept rechargeables. The battery life is average and nothing to go bragging about. The batteries are easy to insert and take out. They are inserted by sliding the back of the control pack off. The bullet is no where near waterproof. In fact, I would never take this near water. I would wipe it down with a toy wipe when it needs cleaning. The plastic that this is made of is tinted an orange-ish color, but it is still see through which makes it feel cheap and easily breakable. The bullet is connected to the control pack via a universal jack plug. The bullet can be used with other control packs as well. I highly sugegst taking the batteries out before storing this toy or it might drain them. It could also accidentally turn on and cause a racket. If you are in a hurry, simply unplug the bullet from the control pack. This way, if the control pack turns on, the bullet will not start vibrating.

There is a light at the end of the bullet that flashes along with the patterns. There is a piece of loose plastic on the inside of the bullet that jumps around and makes a lot of noise when the toy is on. After a while, the bullet starts to give off a burning smell. It is kind of annoying. It also makes my initial judgement of this being cheap spot on. It only takes the bullet 2-3 minutes before it feels super hot. I am afraid that it will overheat, so I turn it off. This bullet is just an overall dud. I kind of hate it, and I want to throw it away. The toy on high sounds like a super loud and buzzy vibrating cell phone. It can be heard through a closed door. On top of this, the vibes are extremely buzzy and high pitched. I have never had my clit numbed by a vibrator, but this did it. It also left my fingers very itchy and irritated in the end. If you think that this would just be better off being used in combination with the dildo, you are wrong. With the bullet in the toy's handle I could not feel, but I could hear, the vibrations in the dildo. The glass simply does not transmit the vibrations at all! Very disappointing.

Glass, like any other non-porous material, is really easy to clean and care for. Warm water and antibacterial soap, toy cleaners, and toy wipes can all be used in terms of day to day cleanings. Glass can be sterilized by boiling for 5 minutes, wiping down with a 10% bleach solution, or putting it in the top rack of a dishwasher (no soap). That being said, I would only clean the glass dildo with these methods. The bullet and control pack is not waterproof, so a toy wipe would be your best bet when it comes to cleaning the included bullet toy.
Glass is compatible with any lubricants, so this makes a perfect shower toy! Bring the dildo and a nice silicone lube (or whatever you choose) and have fun in the tub. The textures are all rounded and do not collect or trap any fluids that much, so cleaning is pretty easy and simple. The toy doesn't come with a storage pouch of any kind, so the original packaging will have to do. A nice soft sock will also do in a pinch if you don't have room to store the original packaging. I would store the bullet and control pack separate (meaning not connected) and without any batteries in it.

This toy comes in the standard Icicles packaging. There are multiple pictures of the toy on every side of the box. There is also a magnetic flap that opens to give you some information about the toy as well as a full view of the toy via some windows. The pictures on the packaging are tastefully done and are classy. There are no naked women or crude language on the box. The toy and bullet sits in a cutout block of foam. It doesn't come with a storage pouch, so I suggest keeping the box until a pouch can be purchased or made. I definitely would not hesitate to give this as a gift.

Remember my awesome Fling experience? Believe it or not, I got the same result with the Icicles No. 35! For the record, I did not expect this toy to bring me to a squirting G-spot orgasm.
