Waver butterfly - rabbit vibrator by Orion - review by Id Heaven

The Waver Butterfly is an incredibly versatile toy, for all its standard rabbit shape would lead you to believe otherwise, and it performs very well at all of its tasks.

This is due to the nice new 'waver' technology that I just had the pleasure of discovering. Little discs inside the shaft move in 'waves', up or down the length of the toy, safely encased within the soft squishy TPR material sleeve. It doesn't look like there's much variation between an 'extended' and 'retracted' disk to the eye, but trust me, feeling is believing! There is of course a clitoral stimulator included, just in case you don't agree (unlikely).

The standard way to use the item is to insert the shaft into your vagina and use the butterfly stimulator on your labia and clitoris. Fully inserted, the waves can be felt entering you from your labia to deep inside you, and the clitoral butterfly vibrator, while soft and incredibly flexible to fit your anatomy also transfers vibrations very well, leaving you near overwhelmed. The rhythmic sensation doesn't feel alien at all, but very much like vaginal sex, helping you immerse yourself in your fantasies.

Of course, due to the flexible nature of the butterfly extension, you can turn the vibe around instead, and feel the waves enter you from a different angle while the vibrator purrs against your rear.

If you're more into external stimulation, or even if you're not, you can slide the shaft in between your labia and against your clitoris, and let the waves 'lick' you up and down. This is incredibly similar to oral sex.

I found the Waver Butterfly enjoyable even when turned off! The 'waves' in the shaft make it a fantastic toy to slide in and out and up and down and all over yourself when you must be discreet. Bear in mind though, just because the toy doesn't make noise doesn't mean you won't!

The TPR material smelled faintly of grapes when I opened the packaging, but in case you find that scent less pleasant than I do, no worries! After being washed once, the smell was gone. There is no icky "plasticky" smell that I could sense.

The material is squishy, but the discs in the shaft and the bullet vibe are quite firm, so it is comfortable, but still easy to insert and transfers sensation well.

There are ridges right under the head on the shaft, which, paired with the 'waves' of discs give a very interesting texture I can't fully describe. It's got all the stimulation of a very ribbed toy, but slides in much easier.

The material may feel somewhat sticky to the touch, but unlike 'jelly' toys, it does not steal all your lubricant away. On the contrary, once you get some lubrication going, the toy seems content to leave it in you, exposing less of it to the air and keeping it lasting longer.

Speaking of lubrication, the packaging does recommend water based lube only!

Speaking of water, it's very easy to wash. Splashproof design makes it a snap to quickly clean in the sink.

This is definitely a big toy! I love the feeling of being stretched and filled, so I shrugged off the cautionary warnings and boy was I surprised!

Even if your boyfriend is bigger, keep in mind that you may not want to require foreplay every time you want to use your vibrator. However, if smaller toys aren't getting the job done for you, you spend a lot of time prolonging your enjoyment, or you're just a tough girl who wants a real toy that can get the job done, this is definitely for you. The 'waves' make it feel bigger than you might expect, as the hard discs expand the shaft. A little difference makes a big difference when it's inside you!

That said, I wouldn't trade it for the world. This toy is top notch and deserves all the accommodations necessary to let it fully please you.

The vibrator extension is VERY flexible (but still firm enough to transfer vibration well!) and I can't imagine an anatomy this will not fit! I felt the vibrations firmly when up against the bullet itself, and when I just used the little tips of the butterfly's antennae.

The waves are great in that the discs extend fully throughout the shaft, so even if you can't tolerate all of the toy at once, you will definitely get the full effect.

Even if you wind up purchasing it and find the size is too much for you, give it a little time, or just use it externally; the waves on the shaft feel wonderful against your labia and clitoris, and will give you lots of overall stimulation most clitoral only or rabbit vibes miss. Definitely play around with it a little, and see what it can do for you.

This is a LOUD toy, and it is also a QUIET toy!

First, the loud! I assume you're here for the waving discs, and boy are those loud. You will definitely want some cover noise. It makes an odd sort of noise that might not be immediately associated with a vibrator, but good luck explaining what it was. The noise does vary depending on how the toy is being used, however. It was much quieter inside me than out, and when you increase the intensity, it does of course get louder still, but not as much as most toys make a noise leap when increased in intensity. It is in fact speed, not power, that the intensity meter measures. Hitting the "up" arrow will cause the waves to come faster, but not harder. The lowest intensity is plenty good, and I found myself not using the higher ones much at all, but they can give you the edge you need if you've got your TV on.

The vibrations from the bullet vibe in front are strong, but whisper quiet. I had no reservations with using the vibration function in a house full of people in the dead of night at max setting.

If you're still worried, as I noted earlier, this toy is fun even with the power off. The 'waves' stay set even when the toy isn't on, and just sliding it in and out of you is plenty to get you off.

There are only three intensity settings for both vibe and waves, but there is enough variation that it should please everyone and it won't take you half an hour of cycling through functions to get you to "OH GOD YES".

There is also an "U/D" reversal button for the waves, changing the direction they flow. I didn't think I would use this, as I am happy with either, but it's a very different sensation somehow, and I think that if I grow tired of the toy down the line, switching the direction would give it a new life.

Water based lube only!

Washing is easy to do with hot water & a gentle soap.

It is not waterproof, and it does contain electronic components, so no dishwashers, boiling water, or industrial acid treatments for this one, but they aren't quite necessary either.

The packaging for this toy is not as classy as say, Fun Factory's, but I also didn't buy it for the packaging.

It comes wrapped in a tamper evident wrapper, in a box with a picture of the toy and an attractive young woman, which is par for the course in the toy world, I think.

Instructions are detailed, specific, and well translated into several languages, with a little good intentioned note on proper disposal of batteries.

I like unique toys because they seem to be better designed than most others. These are the ambassadors of the new technology they bring, and don't seem shoddily tossed together by a disgruntled woman making two cents an hour. Instead, the design is well thought out, and it seems I discover something new I like about this toy every time I use it. I've come across far too many neat little things (waves extending throughout the shaft, not just clustered in the base in case you want to use it externally or can't manage the whole thing, ultra flexible clitoral attachment for every anatomy, waves 'freeze' and 'lock' when the toy is turned off, rather than all retracting, allowing you to use it with the power off) for it to be just coincidence. This toy was made by someone who knows women and has a passion for invention!
