I think I might be looking for a new 'companion'

The Companion is a great g-spot stimulator, but it lacks the vibration strength to make it a GREAT g-spot vibrator. I was really disappointed in this g-spot vibrator and I definitely wouldn't recommend it, so much for replacing my 'old' vibrator.

Use

The Companion by Evolved Novelties was supposed to replace my current TPR g-spot vibe. It has two motors, one in each side of the vibrator. Companion was intended for g-spot stimulation but could also be used for clitoral stimulation. It could also feel great on breasts and nipples. I've debated if the smaller end could be used for anal play but haven't tried it. There's no base so I would say use with extreme caution if you do decide to use it anally. Companion worked really well to hit my g-spot, and I think the design works well to -almost- also stimulate but not for me.

I would say this toy would work best alone, but it's possible to pair with a partner or a small bullet if the design isn't working for you. I have a feeling with a partner it may just get in the way as it is very big.

Material / Texture

The Companion is made out of plastic. It gave off a light scent when I first removed it, and after cleaning the scent seems to be gone. I noticed that the tip of the g-spot curve on my toy is slightly darkened, not sure if that's normal. Plastic is non-porous and phthalate-free. This plastic is coated with a velvety texture, but keep in mind that plastic is a rigid material, it's not very forgiving. I found that I had to masturbate a different way with this toy because it is a different material than what I'm used to.

The g-spotting end of the toy is wide but tapered and curved. There's a small nub about halfway up the shaft on the g-spot end that I -think- is intended to stimulate you clitoris, but it was waaay too far forward for me to do that. The non-curved end is just a simple smaller shaft.
    • Light odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Rigid

Design / Shape / Size

The Companion is a ten inch light pink dual-stimulation g-spot vibrator, the short side is 2 3/4" insertable length while the longer side is 5 1/2" of insertable length. The diameter at the widest point is 1 3/8".

This was a new shape for me in terms of g-spot vibrators. It was interesting and I think the rigid plastic worked well to hit my g-spot, but the bump on the shaft didn't really work for (what I think is) its intended use. As I mentioned before, this is a rigid toy. It's not very forgiving so adjusting may have to be made for this to be comfortable and pleasurable.

This is a very long toy. I generally store it in the box it came in. Since it is so big, I can't say I would ever bring it with me if I was traveling, especially since it is sooo long.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Companion has two motors, one motor on each end of the vibrator. The small end of the the vibrator only does patterns, but you can't feel the patterns if you're using the other end. The g-spot end will only do low/med/high. I really wish that the vibrations were a lot stronger. This vibrator sounds just as loud as my other vibrator on its highest setting, but it just feels, meh. If there were just one more step higher on the g-spot side I would be fine with it, but it just doesn't feel very powerful to me. I do admit though, I love a nice powerful vibrator. Controls are pretty straight forward, one button controls the top vibrator, one controls the bottom. I don't like having to cycling through them to shut them off, and the buttons are close to each other making it pretty easy to accidentally hit the button for the wrong side. It's moderately noisy, not crazy loud, could be muffled by doors and such. This toy is waterproof, I used it in the shower once but it didn't do much for me in there, I've found it works best for me if I'm laying down.

Care and Maintenance

Plastic can easily be cleaned with antibacterial soap and hot water or by wiping down with isopropyl alcohol. I keep the toy in the nifty box it came in, which can also hold more than one toy, it's very awesome. Plastic is compatible with all lubes, so you don't have to worry about what kind of lubes you're using with it.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store
Follow-up commentary
This isn't something that I pick up to play with...I've tried more than once to give it another shot. The vibrations are very buzzy and surface-based..it's not something that I enjoy.

It depends on how you like your vibrations I suppose, I really like strong vibrations...and this just wasn't doing it.

Thank you for the review. Just by looking at it I want to try it, but I think I'd find myself agreeing with you here and it may not be enough for me, either.
