It tried so hard.

While the My Mini-Miracle Scoop was a nice concept, it just didn't work. Though it was designed specifically for the Mini-Miracle, it is a bit too loose, which severely damps the vibrations and causes the more rigid cup to rattle around on the massager head. If it were redesigned to fix the vibration issues, it could be a great attachment for the Mini Miracle. As it is, it's just not worth it.

Use

This little PVC attachment for the My Mini-Miracle Massager was a good idea. Really, it was. It's firm enough that vibrations should be transmitted well. The ticklers aren't so long that they'll flail uselessly or get stuck to each other. The shape of the scoop fits comfortably around the clitoris and top of the labia, around the tip of a breast, or around a scrotum for teasing play. It's not so big that it's ungainly and awkward to use. The scoop has a blunt point at the top and a fine point at the bottom for more pin-point stimulation. Done right, this should have been a great attachment for utilizing the compact power of the Mini-Miracle for teasing foreplay, and for the more sensitive female-bodied users. The design elements were there; the execution, unfortunately, was not.

Material / Texture

The Scoop is made of a smooth PVC. It's not sticky, but it does feel slightly tacky. When lubed up, it's very slick on both the smooth and nubbed portions. The material has an odd chemical smell (not the smell of phthalates often associated with less expensive jelly toys), with a similar, mildly unpleasant taste. It's a huge lint-magnet, so be prepared to clean it before every use, and after every time you put it down during use.

Design / Shape / Size

The design of the Scoop was a good idea. Had it been executed right, it would have been fantastic. A nubbed interior that nestles against erogenous zones for a warm-up; a smooth back for more direct, but diffuse stimulation; a blunt point at the top and a narrow point at the bottom for varying degrees of pinpoint stimulation. The design had so much potential, both as a friendly beginner toy and as a fun twist for the more experienced. Unfortunately, it simply doesn't work well. Like it's cousin the mini-miracle G-whiz, the cup where it is attached to the Mini-Miracle is loose. With the vibrations on high, it occasionally rattled completely off the massager. Almost none of the vibrations reached the business end of the attachment. As with the G-whiz, the vibrations seemed to die at the point where the stem leaves the cup. What's the point of putting an attachment on a powerful vibrator if the attachment barely vibrates?

The size makes this a much better choice for travel than the attachments for larger massagers. Both the Scoop and the Mini-Miracle easily fit in a purse. However, this attachment isn't very discrete. While it may not scream "OMG SEX TOY!" to those not in the know, it looks bizarre enough that if you leave it out on the dresser, someone's going to ask "what the hell IS that thing?"

I don't know about you, but I can't figure out a good answer to that one.

Functions / Performance / Controls

To make a long story short, this attachment simply doesn't work well. Partly because of the poor fit of the attachment on the massager, and partly because of the way the cup is attached to the business end of the Scoop, it transmits almost nothing in the way of vibrations. When held at different angles or pressed against the toy, it doesn't get any better, unfortunately. When used in a bath tub, it was impossible to feel the Scoop vibrating at all.

One thing that I found very disconcerting was that it actually rattled against the massager head. I'm not sure how a soft material managed to rattle, but this one did. It was rather loud, easily heard over the noise of the toy itself.

Care and Maintenance

The PVC of which the Scoop is made is easy to clean: soap and water are all you need. Definitely go for this over a spray and dry only cleaner or toy wipes, as stuff gets trapped between the nubs very easily. The material is very forgiving in storage, too. You might want to keep it in a plastic bag to keep the smell of the toy off of your other toys, but it plays nicely with other toys and all lube types. As a bonus, it's a remarkably resilient material, so it'll bounce right back when you throw it against the wall or out the window in disgust.

Personal comments

I really wanted to like this toy. The Mini-Miracle is such a nice, powerful, waterproof, compact little toy that I'd love to have some good attachments to go with it. Unfortunately, neither this nor the G-whiz delivered. After two huge disappointments, I strongly recommend to Cal Exotics that they at least test their toys for functionality, if not conduct "field tests". The Scoop was a great idea; if they'd tested it, they would have seen that there was almost vibration at the business end, and the design could have been fixed. As it is, they've distributed a bunch of toys that simply don't work, and that's a shame.
