iTap bullet - bullet discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by ArmyWife Kira

When I saw the iTap bullet vibe available for review I jumped on it! I had already tried and liked the iTap basic vibe so I really wanted to try this one, as I have never owned a regular bullet vibe before.

The iTap bullet vibe comes in a pretty, classy box. It is plain white with flowers and a photo of the product. I really like the iTap packaging compared to the cheesy naked photos that are on a lot of adult products. In my head I associate packaging with those photos with cheap products. The vibe and controller are inside a plastic bag in the box. I sort of wish it had a hard plastic shell to hold it but I like the minimal packaging.

This vibe has absolutely no smell or taste. It is pretty quiet. You definitely couldn't hear it from behind a closed door. It isn't super easy to store because its cord and controller. The cord for the vibe is a decent length. It is 31" long. The controller is 4 1/2" long. The vibe did come with a plastic sort of twist tie that you could reuse to wrap up the cord. The bullet's small size makes it easy to use during sex but I prefer using a smaller vibe without a cord and control pack. The iTap bullet vibe takes 2 AAA batteries.

The iTap bullet vibe's controls are what sets it apart from other vibes. It is all touch controlled. You simply tap the top of the control pad to turn the vibe on and to sort through the various settings. In order to turn the vibe off you have to push through all the settings which I found very annoying! It's also easy to accidentally touch this to turn it on. It's a lot more easy to accidentally turn this on than it was for the iTap vibe.


The vibe has 5 different settings.

1: low buzz/low intensity vibrations
2: high buzz/high intensity vibrations
3: 2 short bursts then 1 long/high intensity
4: short bursts/high intensity
5: short low buzz then high buzz/low then high intensity

The iTap bullet vibe is made of plastic. It is also pthalate free. The bullet part is havier than I imagined it would be. I do have one complaint about the bullet part. It is metallic colored so with time the metallic will wear off and even when I received it some of the metallic was rubbed off. The bullet is smooth and only has a line in the middle of it which I dislike because it could be hard to clean out thoroughly.

To clean plastic you can use antibacterial soap and water but be careful to not get water in where the cord goes in the bullet since this is NOT waterproof. You can also use rubbing alcohol.

I really liked this vibe aside from its minor annoyances. I truly like the touch technology but I wish they would have done a touch and hold to turn off feature. I can deal with it accidentally turning on. The fact that the controls are separate from the actual vibe makes it harder to accidentally touch it while using it which is a major problem I have with some vibes.

I enjoyed this vibe for clitoral stimulation and labial stimulation. It's a nice vibe to use during sex but I do prefer something without a cord getting in the way. The bullet IS nice because it can provide a lot of vibrations but I have used some small watch battery powered vibes that were just as strong. I guess i'm just not a bullet vibe kinda girl. I haven't yet used this for nipple stimulation but I imagine it's really awesome for that as well!

I only gave this 4 stars because it doesn't have an easy way to turn it off and because the metallic can wear off the bullet.

Well, after using this a few more times we started having some issues. Initially we didn't have any issues accidentally touching the control during sex but I took extra care to move it as far away as possible. Well, in the heat of the moment when I forgot to move it out of the way it got touched. So it requires extra effort to make sure it doesn't get accidentally touched during sex, which can be distracting.

Now to the MAIN reason I don't like it anymore....I do not remove batteries from my toys. I know I should but I don't. I don't like to mess with batteries when I decide I want to use a toy and I want it at hand and ready to use. Well, after only using the iTap bullet a few times I put it in my toy drawer and when I went to use it a week or two later it was DEAD. So I guess it got accidentally turned on and the batteries died. Such a waste of batteries. So if you are like me and don't remove batteries keep in mind that you will probably have the same problem I did.
